The fluids include HFCs R134a. R152a, R135, and R32, and FC R218. The following properties are being investigated: ( I ) phase equilibrium parameters including the boiling and condensing curve and

Remediation and productive utilization of these resources is proposed through the use of the forest biomass as a source of energy. The energy sector of Belarus requires rapid development of new sources of power generating capacity if projected needs are to be met. The current energy balance in the region of the Contaminated Territories shows a deficit of almost 600 MW which is currently being imported. The next five years will see a significant reduction of the energy production capacity of Belarus due to retirement of a large portion of existing facilities. The World Bank has stressed the importance of biomass energy development in Belarus to reduce reliance on imported sources of energy. This proposal addresses this need. A Non-Profit Corporation (NPC) is proposed to manage all identified resources in the contaminated territories in B...

The large volume of radioactive wood waste generated on forested areas in Belarus after Chernobyl... more The large volume of radioactive wood waste generated on forested areas in Belarus after Chernobyl Accident requires special strategy of forestry production and contaminated wood treatment. If this activity is supplied with wood valorization technologies, the probability of refunding a sufficient cost of decontamination and remediation of forest will be realized.

The vital problem of forestry on the areas contaminated as a result of the Chernobyl accident is ... more The vital problem of forestry on the areas contaminated as a result of the Chernobyl accident is related to contamination level of valuable wood harvested. The investigation of material sampled in the Chernobyl Zone shows that most of contamination is still in organic surface layer of forest soil. Although specific activity of wood depends on numerous factors it has been proved that even the lowest contamination leads to increasing radioactivity of wood inasmuch as a part of deposited radionuclides has been already available for root uptake. If nothing is undertaken to reclaim this forest now, the quantity of contaminated wood will dramatically increase in the future.

It has been shown that the grid giving a concave inlet profile of the air velocity ensures a required homogeneity of the bed′s structure at a high level of heat exchange.
