B lack soldier fly larvae (BSF, Hermetia illucens) has been recently considered as a promising pr... more B lack soldier fly larvae (BSF, Hermetia illucens) has been recently considered as a promising protein source for animal feed, both for monogastrics (Cullere et al., 2016) and ruminants (Jayanegara et al., 2017a). It is characterized by its high protein content as well as good amino acid profiles (Sanchez-Muros et al., 2014). Protein itself plays an important role in the body of livestock; it serves as building blocks for various tissues and organs, and involves in the regulatory function as an integral component of various enzymes and hormones. Our previous study demonstrated that BSF contained protein in its body of more than 40% on dry matter basis (Jayanegara et al., 2017a). Other studies reported that the crude protein content of BSF ranged from 38.3 to 58.8% (Marono et al., 2015; Oonincx et al., 2015; Spranghers et al., 2017). Apart from its high protein content, BSF has other additional advantages in which it grows rapidly on various organic substrates (Spranghers et al., 2017), and does not provide any adverse effect on environment and human health. Despite all of its potency, BSF contains considerable amount of chitin that may limit its use as animal feed. Chitin is a polymer of N-acetylglucosamine and typically present in substantial amount in insects. Namun adanya pandemik Covid-19 menyebabkan perkuliahan pada kegiatan pertukaran pelajar dilaksanakan secara jarak jauh (daring). Pembelajaran jarak jauh sering menimbulkan masalah bagi mahasiswa seperti academic burnout, stres, dan kelelahan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri mahasiswa pada kegiatan pertukaran pelajar dalam pembelajaran daring. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei. Seiring berkembangnya daerah Desa Sindangsari dengan telah selesainya pembangunan kampus salah satu PTN di sekitar desa tersebut, perlu adanya keterampilan dan kemampuan pengolahan pangan yang baik di sana. Terlebih lagi semakin banyak peluang untuk membuka usaha berbasis pangan di sekitar kampus nantinya. Rice bran and pollard are by-products of the rice and wheat milling process. These two ingredient... more Rice bran and pollard are by-products of the rice and wheat milling process. These two ingredients are generally not used as the main raw material for food products and are diverted as feed ingredients due to their low nutritional content. The nutrient content that is still present in pollard and rice bran, especially fiber and anti-nutrients, is very useful for people with diabetes and obesity. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of fractionation on nutrient content and to separate the components of pollard and rice bran using a gravity and molecular weight approach. The experimental design used was CRD (Completely Random Design) Factorial 2 × 3 × 3 for physical test data. Factor A is the material, namely pollard and rice bran, factor B is the position of the fraction, namely top, middle and bottom. Data analysis was performed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the significant one will be further analyzed using Duncan's test. The chemical property values were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the value of bulk density (g l-1), compacted bulk density (g l-1), specific gravity (kg l-1), angle of purpose (o) of pollard and rice bran were significantly different (P<0.05) on all three fractions. The highest physical parameters for pollard were at the bottom fraction with the value 386.47 g g l-1 , 537.28 g l-1 , 1.42 kg l-1 , ST 46.98 o. The highest physical parameters for rice bran were at the upper fraction with the value of 394.09 g l-1 , 526.33 g l-1 , 1.50 kg l-1 , 46.01 o. Crude fiber content (%) of pollard and rice bran were the upper fractions 6.77 and 21.69, middle fractions 8.19 and 34.70, lower fractions 5.52 and 32.76. Fractionation technology can separate food ingredients based on chemical components, especially crude fiber. The physical properties of pollard and rice bran after fractionation generally improved in quality. The fraction that has the best physical and chemical quality is the lower fraction for pollard and the upper fraction for rice bran. The middle fraction has the highest crude fiber content, so it has the potential to be a raw material for making high fiber processed food.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran matemat... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring sehingga dapat ditentukan langkah lebih lanjut untuk memperbaiki sistem pembelajaran matematika daring jika terdapat kekurangan atau kelemahan dalam proses pembelajarannya. Metode survei dan studi kasus digunakan untuk menggapai tujuan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 79 siswa kelas empat di salah satu sekolah dasar yang ada di Bantul. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner persepsi dan dieksplorasi lebih lanjut melalui wawancara kepada 6 siswa berdasarkan level kognisinya. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan kecenderungan data. Di samping itu, transkrip rekaman wawancara dikodekan masing-masing peneliti berdasarkan pola menarik dan kemudian didiskusikan. Triangulasi sumber digunakan untuk menjamin keakuratan hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika secara daring cenderung mengarah pada persepsi negatif. Tidak menarik, membosan, tidak efektif mungkin adalah kata-kata yang tepat menggambarkan sikap mereka. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa level kognisi tidak mesti sejalan dengan minat dan motivasi siswa. Literasi teknologi dan inovasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan zamannya menjadi penting untuk diperhatikan sebagai upaya memfasilitasi guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring.

Black soldier fly (BSF, Hermetia illucens) larvae is characterized by its easy production system, rapid growth, able to efficiently convert organic waste and contains high protein, i.e., around 40%. However, the BSF exoskeleton contains chitin which is a component of cell wall and may inhibit the process of nutrient utilization in the digestive tract of ruminants. This experiment aimed to reduce chitin in BSF through physical (separation of the exoskeleton part) and biological (fermentation with chitinolytic bacteria) treatments.
