The role of e-learning technologies entirely depends on the acceptance and execution of required-... more The role of e-learning technologies entirely depends on the acceptance and execution of required-change in the thinking and behaviour of the users of institutions. The research are constantly reporting that many e-learning projects are falling short of their objectives due to many reasons but on the top is the user resistance to change according to the digital requirements of new era. It is argued that the suitable way for change management in e-learning environment is the training and persuading of users with a view to enhance their digital literacy and thus gradually changing the users’ attitude in positive direction. This paper discusses change management in transition to e-learning system considering pedagogical, cost and technical implications. It also discusses challenges and opportunities for integrating these technologies in higher learning institutions with examples from Turkey GATA (Gulhane Askeri Tip Akademisi-Gulhane Military Medical Academy).

The main purpose of our study is to determine the effects of digital marketing on the recognition... more The main purpose of our study is to determine the effects of digital marketing on the recognition of brands. For this purpose, an interview was done with 10 managers participants consisting of a semi-structured interview with 15 question relating digital marketing methods and brand awareness. The results showed digital marketing, which has gained importance especially due to pandemic conditions, is thought to cover all sectors and regions with the increase in the number of social media users over time. It has been seen that the level of importance given by individuals to digital marketing is less than necessary and as a result, classical methods are used. The increasing importance given to digital marketing will increase the awareness and customer potential of companies and their brands. Participants think that they manage their companies' social media accounts, but using and managing corporate accounts by experts in their field will result in better marketing. Participants stated that they entered into competition with rival companies as a result of digital marketing. They stated that since they started using digital marketing, rival companies have switched to digital marketing and the whole industry has started to use digital marketing channels, albeit slowly. It can be said that marketing in the digital environment provides time, personnel, and cost savings, as well as providing support to companies on the way to branding, as it provides the opportunity to be heard and reach more people by expanding the brand over the internet through channels such as websites and e-mail. Since the multiplicity of the offered alternatives also facilitates the target consumer group to make choices in accordance with their own preferences, it allows the development of brands in this direction and also creates a positive effect on brand awareness.

Generally it is not easy for an instructor to prepare and deliver electronic courses via elearnin... more Generally it is not easy for an instructor to prepare and deliver electronic courses via elearning. Therefore it is necessary to work and develop an easy system. In this context module technology was used to for provide modularity in conducting educational development of elearning course. Then, rapid e-learning was used for more quick and easy course development. In order to implement modular rapid e-learning, a desktop virtual environment was set up. Modular rapid e-learning was used by teachers and students in a one semester course and student success and reactions were evaluated. And also the overall hybrid system cost was calculated and reported. In implementation we combined modular course design with rapid elearning and desktop virtualization in education of 3 rd year nursing students for a one semester course. The effectiveness of this hybrid method was evaluated with respect to students' success, students' opinions and over all cost effectiveness. It was seen that the hybrid method was educationally more effective than traditional method comparing with previous year students' success and fit with students' requirements. The cost reduction was %41 comparing with traditional desktop and e-learning system.

Teaching activities were carried on television and on the Internet. Simultaneous bulletins were sent to families and hygiene studies were carried out in non-training hours and days in the schools. A distance education infrastructure has been prepared. In this sense, considering the psychology of the children is beyond the educational decision. In this context, the primary school, middle school, and high school training programs have been carried out mainly on government television channels. The Education Information Network (Eğitim Bilişim Ağı-EBA) is being used as a supportive environment. Educational activities such as exams, EBA Educational Security and Psychosocial Support are ongoing implementations of distance education. In the practiced station, a combination of information network and communication network on Internet-primarily supporting Television broadcast-based the educational system is proposed for maximum educational benefit.

In this study, online shopping was examined with the factors affecting customer evaluation in the Covid-19 pandemic. During Covid-19, shopping is mostly done online because people are at home. A quantitative method with a questionnaire was applied to 150 active online customers to determine customer evaluation for online shopping. Demographic characteristics, gender, age, marital status, and graduation impact analysis were found to affect online shopping. Minimizing the problems in shipping processes and increasing payment options are important findings. Social media was found to be a significant commercial potential for online shopping during the Covid-19 period. The effect of Trust, Cargo Tracking, Website Features, and Satisfaction was examined. Abstract The purpose of this study was to teach and evaluate the effectiveness of an Information ... more Abstract The purpose of this study was to teach and evaluate the effectiveness of an Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) course through translation to students in Afghanistan. First, an interview was conducted to determine students’ computer skills. It was concluded that the students had almost no computer skills. The course was delivered to two groups of first-year students for 14 weeks during one semester. In group one, students were taught by a Turkish instructor through a translator. The course was delivered to group 2 by a native-language speaking teacher. At the end of the semester, students of both groups were given a final exam and were asked to comment about teaching speed, overall satisfaction, teacher reactions, course materials and future improvements to the course. Statistically, there was no significant difference between the final performances of students in both groups. The students also declared that they wanted to greatly improve their computer skills and use the Internet to make use of digital ICT resources for other courses, too. An additional finding was that there was a 20-min time-delay between the Turkish and native groups due to the translation process throughout each course session.

However, many users are not aware of the different types of education portals. Some may consider a web portal as no different from a web site. In terms of educational health web portal it is sometime different. An effective educational health portal should be easy to use and understandable. An educational health portal should contain sufficient amount of educational and useful related contents. Moreover, there is need to improve portal in terms of dynamic design, contents and tools for building and accessing to information. The purpose of this study is to explore the dynamic design and efficient use of educational health web portal by students and teachers. In our study we found that dynamically designed web portals are the cost-effective, dynamic and a useful for up to date use of information and communications technologies in support to health education, knowledge and research.

This study investigates user perception and resistance against change in the Hospital Information... more This study investigates user perception and resistance against change in the Hospital Information System (HIS) change. A quantitative approach with a survey was applied to determine perception and resistance ofvgroups.The results were compared with each other: the percentage of innovators (32%), the percentage of early adopters (21%), the percentage of early majority (31%), and the percentage of late majority (12%), and the percentage of laggards (4%). Acceptance differs due to financial reasons. The resistance differs according to the employees’ status. IT developments, management supported security and privacy rules increase employee performance and acceptance. For resistance, there has been a significant difference feedback of employees is required, and functional needs reduce resistance. Hospitals need to use new and up-to-date information technology in order to serve effective patient care with valid standards.

This research investigates e-learning readiness level of family medicine physicians (FM) in Turke... more This research investigates e-learning readiness level of family medicine physicians (FM) in Turkey. The study measures the level of e-learning readiness of Turkish FM physicians by an online e-learning readiness survey. According to results five areas are ready at Turkish FM physicians but need a few improvements: equipment/infrastructure, online learning style readiness, technological skills readiness, cultural readiness, financial readiness. Three areas are not ready and need some work to improve their readiness: Human resource readiness, attitude readiness, and environmental readiness. Finally, the outcomes of e-learning readiness indicate that the Turkish Family Medicine Physicians are ready for adopting e-learning. The overall results show that the e-learning readiness level at Turkish FM physicians has been 68,28 %, and ready but needs a few improvements for e-learning.

In this study, the problems of ICT teachers and their suggested solutions that stated by them were evaluated by analyzing their messages and shared information in Internet and social media. Document analysis was used as qualitative data collection method for this study. The research group was consisting of the ICT teachers that have worked in secondary Turkish Schools from July 2012 to July 2013 who used social media. This research investigates e-learning readiness level of family medicine physicians (FM) in Turke... more This research investigates e-learning readiness level of family medicine physicians (FM) in Turkey. The study measures the level of e-learning readiness of Turkish FM physicians by an online e-learning readiness survey. According to results five areas are ready at Turkish FM physicians but need a few improvements: equipment/infrastructure, online learning style readiness, technological skills readiness, cultural readiness, financial readiness. Three areas are not ready and need some work to improve their readiness: Human resource readiness, attitude readiness, and environmental readiness. Finally, the outcomes of e-learning readiness indicate that the Turkish Family Medicine Physicians are ready for adopting e-learning. The overall results show that the e-learning readiness level at Turkish FM physicians has been 68,28 %, and ready but needs a few improvements for e-learning.

Therefore it is necessary to work and develop an easy method to deliver e-learning courses. In this context rapid e-learning can be used to develop e-learning courses in a more quick and easy course development. Desktop virtualization works through a centralized computing process environment to offer computing services. In order to implement rapid e-learning, a desktop virtual environment was set up. Rapid e-learning building process, virtual desktop building process were explained. Rapid e-learning was used by teachers and students. Finally the overall hybrid system cost was calculated and reported. In implementation rapid e-learning and desktop virtualization were combined. It was seen that the hybrid method was acceptable by teachers and students and fit the requirements. The cost reduction was %41 comparing with traditional desktop computing and e-learning system.
