Retail pharmacies are more complex environment as in the same time besides being health care institution are also a retail business environment, therefore there is a need for a more comprehensive analysis regarding the workflow. The mixed methodology has been used, by employing questionaries' as quantitative method and empirical study of direct observation and interviews as qualitative means. The layout proposals are not envisioned to be implemented as a retail models, but, as ideas to provoke and encourage discussion. Kosovo retail pharmacies are a fast growing market and as such functionin...

The research methodology of this study employed combined strategy: of historical and comparative interpretation; and case studies as a phenomenon rooted in its realistic setting. This study aims on finding the most favourable answer to the informal architecture, residential buildings in particular, which are very often presented as chaotic. The chaos created by informal builders' actions implies that it's actually their living necessities for expansion that have emerged in such a format. The project proposal of modular architecture still respects the residential need for expansion, as dynamic vibrant organism that grows and changes accordingly to the needs and pr...

The process of the Post Conflict Development is to be very hard to investigate, primarily for the combination of socio-cultural phenomena, war and political instability; having difficulties of conducting solid empirical analysis (obtaining reliable data) and dealing with war-torn communities. The multifaceted process of the reconstruction is ought to touch a lot of countries vital segments, whereas each of them requires different approach; coordination with one another; and unification in their common aim. The emergency of the assistance programs are not equal, same as with the priority and weight when compared with each other, therefore occasionally there are programs for the success of which the other less important actions are violated or neglected. In the public sector central pharmacies operate in hospitals of 7 major cities - one tertiary care hospital and six secondary care hospitals, there also in some primary health care settings but it is mainly for internal use. On the other part, the private sector is developed in different way with retail pharmacies spread all over Kosovo which count 660 pharmacies (AKPPM 2017). The retail pharmacies are very densely spread around Kosovo with one pharmacy in around 2900 inhabitants, with favourable conditions to start operating but endorsing difficulties when trying to remain on the market (Jakupi, 2014). Existing legislation for pharmacies is Law 04/L-190 for pharmaceutical products and devices from which derives the sublegal act, administrative instruction for pharmacies AI No: 11/2015 which details the requirements that are needed in order to obtain the license for a pharmacy from the competent auth...

The research method consists of empirical and comparative contextual observation, with the objective of surveying how the educational system could integrate BIM in applying principles in building design and construction over the life-cycle process. The article reviews the literature in the light of research questions: What is the role of BIM in education for architecture and construction in the context of Kosovo? How could the response to BIM affect the education systems of Kosovo’s universities? Establishing the BIM skilled candidates, needed by industry now, as BIM adoption accelerates, must meet the government mandate; thus, make closer links between industry and academic institutions. Expected learning outcomes on different levels, outlined in this article, will address BIM as a minimum tool in the near future, starting from educ...

For that reason, different approaches, efficient coordination and clearly defined and shared common goals are required. Aid programs are not the same everywhere and they greatly differ in priority levels, state of emergency and importance. Thus there are programs whose success is, unfortunately, closely related to the violation or neglect of existing standards which seem to become less important. The international aid intervention, be it in Kosovo or any other post-conflict country, is carried out according to the post-conflict reconstruction framework, with differences regarding the nature of conflict and the local context. In the case of Prishtina, as this study reveals, the issues involving the international community stay and accommodation in the city have not been adequately addressed. The community, which consists of both human and physical component, large in number and size, inevitably has a noticeable impact on the urban layout. The study uses grounded theory in the mixed methods inquiry and places the effects of the international community presence into a wider reconstruction process framework. It examines the initial claim that the post-conflict urban development is affected by the international community presence and that a proactive and multidisciplinary approach to the reconstruction process should be adopted in order to rebuild complex socioeconomic and spatial systems in a more holistic and systemic way. 1

Considering the drawings as a medium for obtaining knowledge and using them as a means of communication, for the generation and development of designs together with the community, the idea behind was to understand if the representation and communication approach can trigger the community participation, engagement and education on understanding and creating their future city. For the accomplishment of this research the mixed methodology was used, quantitative methods with tools such as questionnaires and mental maps, whilst qualitative method employed interviews, empirical studies and observation on the ground. The use of a certain architectural representation as a communication means, that could be attractive and well understood by the community, can encourage public engagement, discussion and generation of ideas, by this ensuring ...

The created urban mess of Kosovo, beside it's over built and overcrowded area lacks the most valuable quality of a living settlement-its greenery. The suffocation of the living area can be reduced by producing; inventing; reusing more greenery, more gardens with its calming and meditative effect. The research study reveals a solution; hidden on the inclusiveness of nature into the built architecture; the architecture can be opened and integrated into its environment, same as in Japan Architecture where the surrounding garden is regarded as a necessary supplement to the building. Japanese Garden does not exist as an independent entity, building is directly related to its natural surrounding and that is one of the most powerful attributes of the Japanese architecture. Knowing the effect that the surrounding has on the psychology of the inhabitants, the manner of the Japan design by enhancing the inside living environment from the outside would produce more simple and practical solution, which could also be manifested on the culture of behavior. The application of the Qualitative Methodology was considered to be most applicable for the study under research as well as the time length available. The tools for data gathering were observation; photos; documents; informal interviews; methodology of the research includes also a lot of fieldwork (Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Tokyo) as an opportunity to analyze and experience firsthand the nature into the Old and New Japanese Architecture (temples, palaces, shrine, residential and modern buildings
