This project covered the deposition of some metal halide thin film using a solution growth techni... more This project covered the deposition of some metal halide thin film using a solution growth technique at room temperature. Manganese bromide was used as the metal halide film deposited in this project. The deposition thin film of MnBr2 on glass substrate was achieved using a solution growth technique (SGT). Thin films of MnBr2 were stabilized and optimized by varying bath parameters. It was found that for the deposition time and molar concentration of Batches C & D, film thickness increased slightly exponentially with time while Batch A & B film thickness increased and decreased with time due to the formation of the outer layer and peeling off of the film from the glass substrate. The result also showed that the higher the time duration, the thicker the film deposited. Therefore, for the concentration of 1m,0.5m,0.1m, and 0.05m of the working solution, the film thickness was found to be 9.98µm,8.54-8.41µm,7.66µm and 4.99µm-3.67µm, and 1.05µm, respectively. The color of the films deposited is light brown.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes and effects of indiscipline among secondar... more The purpose of this study is to investigate the causes and effects of indiscipline among secondary school students in Otuoke Community Secondary Local Government Area of Ogbia in Bayelsa State. The incessant occurrence of chaotic and some time criminal behaviour not only by the audit population but also the students of this country in recent times has since began to give cause for concern, particularly to parents, governments and school administrators.
Questionnaires form a sample of a particular secondary school in Bayelsa State consisting of (200) respondents selected randomly from Otuoke community school using Simple Random Sampling Technique varying from students to teachers were analyzed. Among other things, it was found that peer groups to a large extent have influence on their fellow students; also the parents of the students are not left out as they too in one way or the other contribute positively and negatively to the behaviour of a child.
