Current understanding on the epidemiological risk factors, genetic vulnerability and neurobiology of the GAD is beginning to unfold the complexities behind this disorder. This narrative review has attempted to put together the recent advances in the area of GAD research with intent to identify the gaps requiring further research.

Without quality employees, it is difficult for organization to survive. Now days, there is wide importance of employees and their worthy value is always concerned by organizations. In service sectors, frontline employees are backbone of organizations as they are directly engaging themselves with outside customers. With this sense, frontline employees are undertaken as internal customers. Internal marketing mix is involved which have basic seven elements which are internal product, internal price, internal promotion, internal distribution, internal people, internal processes and internal physical evidence. Internal marketing is communication of information to employees. It is the key to success of external marketing and success with profitability of service organizations. Now companies are focusing on motivation of employees to decrease the turnover rate by increasing the commitment of employees. Internal marketing is always depend...

Methods: Twenty individuals with CNNP and 20 healthy controls voluntarily participated in this case–control study. Cross-sectional area of DNFs was measured using ultrasonography while the participants lay in supine position to perform the CCF test. The five stages of the CCF test were determined by a pressure biofeedback tool. Neck disability index and pain were also assessed. Repeated measures analysis of variance was used to interpret the yielded data. Results: A significant difference was observed in the CSA of DNFs between individuals with CNNP and healthy controls at the pressure of 24 mm (p = .009) of the CCF test. The CSA of DNFs significantly changed through increasing the CCF test pressure. No significant differences were observed on the right and left-side DNFs, neither in healthy controls, nor in individuals with CNNP. Conclusions: The CSA changes in individuals with CNNP and healthy controls significantly varied during the CCF test, which may be a reasonable explanation to the muscle weakness and atrophy in individuals sustaining CNNP.

This retrospective study was conducted at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, and comprised record of patients diagnosed with interstitial lung disease from January 2005 to December 2015. All patients aged 16 years and above diagnosed with interstitial lung disease on the basis of clinical features, radiological features on high-resolution computed tomography of the chest, and lung biopsies were included. SPSS 19 was used for data analysis. Of the 537 patients, 324(60.3%) of the participants were females. The overall mean age was 60.5±14.9 years. The most common co-morbid condition was diabetes mellitus in 72(13.4%) patients, followed by hypertension in 48(8.9%) and ischaemic heart disease in 21(3.9%). The most common interstitial lung disease was idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 217(40.4%) patients, followed by non-specific interstitial pneumonia in 106(19.7%), sarcoidosis in 82(15.3%) and connecti...

While conventionally DW is estimated by clinical examination, bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) has been proposed as an objective method to determine DW and has been tested extensively in the Western population. We aim to validate BIA for determining DW in a Pakistani population against the conventional clinician's method. This is a single-center validation study conducted at two outpatient HD units of Aga Khan Hospital, Karachi. One hundred and forty-eight DW readings of patients who were on maintenance HD were taken both by BIA technology and by clinical assessment. The clinician was blinded to readings obtained by BIA. Data analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 19. Median age of patients was 63 years (range 12-89). Nearly 54.1% of the samples were female (n = 80). Spearman's correlation between the clinician's estimate and BIA-derived DW showed a correlation coefficient of 0.982, which was statistically significant (P <0.001). This association remained significant when stratified analysis was carried out by dividing the sample into subgroups according to age, gender, body mass index, and total body water content. Inter-rater reliability analysis using the kappa statistics showed almost perfect agreement between the two methods, κ = 0.929 (95% confidence interval, 0.878-0.980, P <0.001). BIA has been validated as a tool for DW assessment of HD patients in Pakistan in comparison to clinical method.

We established the first stroke registry in Bangladesh.Methods.Data was collected from stroke patients who were admitted in Department of Neurology of BIRDEM with first ever stroke, aged between 30 and 90 years. Patients with intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid and subdural hemorrhage, and posttrauma features were excluded.Results.Data was gathered from 679 stroke patients. Mean age was 60.6 years. Almost 68% of patients were male. Small vessel strokes were the most common accounting for 45.4% of all the patients followed by large vessel getting affected in 32.5% of the cases. Only 16 (2.4%) died during treatment, and 436 (64.2%) patients had their mRS score of 3 to 5. Age greater than 70 years was associated with poor outcome on discharge [OR 1.79 (95% CI: 1.05 to 3.06)] adjusting for gender, duration of hospital stay, HDL, and pneumonia. Age, mRS, systolic blood pressure, urinary tr...

Plant breeding techniques, conventional or genetic engineering, might be an effective and economic way of developing crops to grow successfully in waterlogged condition. Marker assisted selection (MAS) is a new and more effective approach which can identify genomic regions of crops under stress, which could not be done previously. e discovery of comprehensive molecular linkage maps enables us to do the pyramiding of desirable traits to improve in submergence tolerance through MAS. However, because of genetic and environmental interaction, too many genes encoding a trait, and using undesirable populations the mapping of QTL was hampered to ensure proper growth and yield under waterlogged conditions Steady advances in the eld of genomics and proteomics over the years will be helpful to increase the breeding programs which will help to accomplish a signicant progress in the eld crop variety development and also improvement in near future. Waterlogging response of soybean and major cereal crops, as rice, wheat, barley, and maize and discovery of QTL related with tolerance of waterlogging, development of resistant variety, and, in addition, future prospects have also been discussed.

Small and medium size industries in Pakistan and in other less developed countries are facing obstacles in responsive coordinated supply chain due to limited resources and improper guideline. The aim of this research is to test develop a theoretical framework to test it empirically to enhance the coordination in supply chain. Methodology: SPSS software is use to evaluate the findings of this research. The results are found through regression analysis that helps to find weak factors of supply chain factors that are in interest of this study. Findings: there are total 32 enablers that have developed on the base of literature review. These are further divided into six categories that are: top level commitment, mutual understanding, organizational factors, flow of information, relationship and decision making and supply chain responsiveness. This study has observed that all variable have significant relationship with supply chain coordination but top level commitment and flow of information have need to improve. Research limitations: this study is conduct only three manufacturing firms in one city of Faisalabad, Pakistan. That further use for the whole firms in Pakistan for the betterment of supply chain coordination. Originality/Value: the research paper evaluates the factors that help to build a responsive and coordinated supply chain in Pakistan's environment. Further these factors with improvement can enhance the supply chain coordination of the firms.
