This study focuses on developing a prototype for a seawater desalination system powered by solar ... more This study focuses on developing a prototype for a seawater desalination system powered by solar panel. The desalination process is heated by a solar collector and 150 WP solar panel. The primary objective is to design, develop, and evaluate the prototype's efficacy, affordability, and scalability. The efficiency was measured by the quantity of freshwater produced per unit of solar energy. Of the three distillation tests, it was determined that the addition of a heater enhanced the performance of the system. However, the overall efficiency was limited due to the solar panel and collector's low heat output. A positive correlation was observed between irradiance and temperature, but incomplete evaporation indicated the need for additional research to optimize the process. The system consisted of a solar collector, a heater, and a distillation apparatus. Three distillation tests revealed that the addition of a heater improved the system's performance, resulting in a maximum achievable efficiency of 0.99% and the production of 16 ml of fresh water. This study demonstrates the potential for renewable energy sources to power seawater desalination and lays the groundwork for future sustainable desalination technologies despite its limitations.

A steam-heated jacket envelops the reactor vessel, transferring heat from the steam into the chemical solution inside. The control system maintains a constant temperature by measuring the temperature of the reactor vessel, and throttling steam from a boiler to the steam jacket to add more or less heat as needed normally this action done by PLC or DCS, in this paper we are using Raspberry pi as temperature controller to monitor and control the temperature reactor.

The static var compensator (SVC) is a shunt device of the flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) family using power electronics to improve transient stability in power system. For the SVC control, it is usually used a PI controller, although PI controller is simpler and cheaper but not suitable when power system is subjected to transient stability since power system become non-linear system. In order to overcome this problem, the PI controller combined with Fuzzy controller is designed. Two types of faults were considered for this study to examine the effect of the fuzzy-SVC controller on system transient stability, the proposed fault types are single line to ground fault and three lines to ground fault. The performance and behavior of the designed fuzzy controller compared with that of the conventional PI controller in term of terminal voltage, rotor angle, and transmission line active power.

The flyback topology is chosen for its simple design and small size and uses high-frequency switching to lower the high DC voltage from the power source. The research aims to avoid blackouts caused by a drop in the power source voltage and to produce technological products that can be developed for other lighting applications. The constant-voltage feedback system ensures that the current flowing to the LED remains stable despite changes in load or other conditions. When there is a voltage drop from the power source, this topology can maintain the voltage and current stable and in accordance with the working voltage specifications of the LEDs. Studies have demonstrated a range of models that have been adapted, but they are used in developed counties for whom E-learning readiness is elevated. Thus, these models are not valid in growing countries, such as Sudan. Based on a modified model, this research was performed descriptively by applying a questionnaire-based survey method to assess the level of Sudan universities’ readiness in the employment of the E-learning system. This modified model includes social support, technology readiness, attitude toward E-learning, acceptance of E-learning, and individual learners. ABSTRACT The fabrication and performance of an ultraviolet (UV) sensor based on individual ZnO na... more ABSTRACT The fabrication and performance of an ultraviolet (UV) sensor based on individual ZnO nanowire is presented in this research. ZnO nanowires were synthesized by a CVD procedure and have been investigated by TEM, SEM and PL spectroscopy. The Schottky barriers between ZnO nanowire and Pt electrodes are investigated in air and nitrogen atmosphere, respectively. The photoresponse of the UV sensor are studied using a UV LED with wavelength of 375 nm. The conductance of individual ZnO nanowire is very sensitive to UV light, and the photo response exhibits an excellent sensitivity and reliability, which suggests that the ZnO nanowire is a promising sensing element for UV photodetectors. Moreover, measurements indicate that the adsorption and desorption of oxygen molecules on the surface of the ZnO nanowire can significantly influence its photoelectrical properties.

The electrical performance and photoelectric response performance were studied, and the results showed that the UV/IR photodetector exhibited a high sensitivity to UV 390 nm, Blue 410 nm ultraviolet light and 850 nm, 940 nm infrared light. The response and recovery time were also fast.

This is completed through detecting the variance in the strength of the signal during a variety of confined OFDM subcarriers are used to ensure that the availability of the essential user is facilely discovered. Extensive experiments are performed, in particular, the effects of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). This paper observed that the experimental results gave lower detection performance compared to the simulation results. Using a chemical vapor deposition CVD method, high-quality single crystalline SnO2 nanowire (NW) was synthesized on a large scale. Individual SnO2 nanowire based ultraviolet photodetector was fabricated by simply transferring individual nanowire to Pt interdigital electrodes. The photodetector exhibited excellent photoconductive performance in terms of high sensitivity to the ultraviolet 375 nm and infrared 750 nm UV illuminations, fast response and recovery time. It also has perfect stability and reliability, revealing n-type semiconducting behaviour of the tin oxide ultraviolet and infrared photodetecors as an excellent material not only for fabricating highly sensitive photodetecors but also valuable additives that provide new functionality in photodetecors, which will enable the development of high-performance photodetecors.

The static var compensator (SVC) is a shunt device of the flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) family using power electronics to improve transient stability in power system. For the SVC control, it is usually used a PI controller, although PI controller is simpler and cheaper but not suitable when power system is subjected to transient stability since power system become non-linear system. In order to overcome this problem, the PI controller combined with Fuzzy controller is designed. Two types of faults were considered for this study to examine the effect of the fuzzy-SVC controller on system transient stability, the proposed fault types are single line to ground fault and three lines to ground fault. The performance and behavior of the designed fuzzy controller compared with that of the conventional PI controller in term of terminal voltage, rotor angle, and transmission line active power.
