This study focused on determining the concentrations of 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and 6-benzyl amino purine (BAP) in the formation of callus tissue and callus induction. Our goal was to assess the efficiency of potato explants with the highest potential for somatic embryo production. To achieve this, we cultivated Sarnav and Desiree potato varieties under in vitro tissue culture conditions, utilizing the obtained tissue cultures for subsequent experiments. The MS nutrient media were enriched with NAA and BAP at ratios of 1.5: 1, 1: 1.5, and 1: 1 mg/L, along with NAA concentrations of 1.5, 1, or 2 mg/L. Somatic embryogenesis experiments were conducted using various MS nutrient media, enriched with BAP and GA3 at concentrations of 1: 0.5, 0.4: 0.1, 0.5: 0.2, and 0.1: 0.1 mg/L of plant growth regulators. During the course of the study, diverse callus formations were observed in both l...

Research paper thumbnail of Horticulture Research In Central Asia: A review of Papers from Scopus Database Published for The Period of 2000-2020

Horticulture crops (fruit trees) had been grown and cultivated from ancient times in Central Asia... more Horticulture crops (fruit trees) had been grown and cultivated from ancient times in Central Asia. Few researchers have addressed the problem of this profitable sector in the former Great Silk Road, which was at the crossroads of trading avenues. Horticulture has received much attention in the last twenty years. To investigate the current state of research activity of horticulture in Central Asia, we downloaded 4205 English papers from the Scopus database between 2000-2020. We identified a total of 50 papers, and the last four years have witnessed significant growth in publication number, an average of 5 articles per year. Acta Horticulturea was one of the most productive journal. Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology (Almaty) and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan have worked productively to study high issues. United States Department of Agriculture and Swiss National Science Foundation with Karl Popper Foundation have supported scientific activity in the ...

Uzbekistan is famous for its seedless grapes, but on the other hand, the grape breeding is oriented on the conventional breeding method. In other words, seedless grapes have a recessive character, a male form is using only as a pollinator, and all these factors limit to create new seedless varieties and forms. Nowadays the word grape breeders, especially seedless grape breeders use advantages of the biotechnology and gene technology skills to resolve above listed issues. As a result, except for obtaining hybrid progeny by crossing between ♂seedless × seeded ♀ that was an unchangeable algorithm of the cross combination in the traditional grape breeding. But today, researchers argued that crossing between ♂seedless ...
