One hundred fifty sexed male quail (21 days old) were randomly distributed into five groups of 30 birds each (3 replicates). G1: control; G2: H2O2 group; G3: ginger group; G4: H2O2+ginger from the beginning of the experiment; G5: H2O2+ginger after the 2 nd week from the beginning of the experiment. Blood samples were collected at the age of 56 days, and the results showed that the addition of H2O2 led to a significantly increased (p≤0.05) feed consumption compared with other groups and enhanced significantly the feed conversion ratio compared with ginger and the control. Also, H2O2 caused a significant increase in blood glucose levels compared to the ginger group and a significant elevation in cholesterol and triglycerides compared with other groups, while PCV%, hemoglobin, and lymphocytes decreased significantly, which led to a significant elevation in the stress index in comparison to the ginger group. As for the impact of ginger, it was opposite to the effect of hydrogen peroxide, as it significantly reduced feed consumption and lowered blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides, which led to an improvement in the blood picture and a decrease in the value of the stress index for the birds that ate ginger alone or the birds in the groups that ate ginger with hydrogen peroxide.

One of the most important nutritional factors is antioxidants, which occupy a special place because they play an important role in animal survival, maintaining animal health, and improving its physiological and productive performances and the immune state of the body. Antioxidants work to reduce the harmful effects of free radicals and toxic products of the metabolism. Therefore, the role of antioxidants, especially antioxidant vitamins (vitamin A, E, and C) is important in the growth stages of the bird's body, as well as in reducing the stress of birds as a result of their rapid growth requirements. Poultry products are considered one of the most protein sources in human nutrition in order to solve the problem of food shortage in the world, so the poultry industry is taking many ways to reduce the time period to reach the marketing weight such as: genetic selection, nutritional improvement, and other environmental factors, but unfortunately, all of that is associated with reduced immunity and the occurrence of oxidative stress. Therefore, the aim of this review is to clarify the role of antioxidants, which are: vitamin A, E, and C in the physiological and productive performance of broilers and their ability to prevent and/or reduce the oxidative stress effects in the body.

The diffusion of nitriding occurs more easily at (α - γ) boundaries, which are the places of crystal lattice defects of concentration . Transition from single ( α') to two phases ( α' + γ) structure, increases the plasticity of the alloy. As a result, the nitrided layers have a high surface hardness, high strength and good plasticity. The thickness of the diffusion layers was studied, along with the phases and the microstructure and composition, across the depth in diffusion zone. The obtained results proved the effect of nitriding system in the growth of the diffusion layers on surface of double composite martensitic - austenitic alloy steel. Analysis of mechanical and tribological characteristics of treated double composite steel under dry friction was also studied. It was found...

It is hypothesized that subtitling English movies into Sorani Kurdish is performed using various methods, i.e. there is no one standard method that is adopted. This is based on the second hypothesis that the majority of subtitled movies into Sorani Kurdish are carried out by unprofessional subtitlers. The results of the study show that the majority of the subtitlers replace the English captions of previously subtitled movies by Kurdish translations, using different devices and word processors. Thus, the study exhibits that there is no one standard established method for subtitling English movies into Sorani Kurdish. It further shows that Kurdish subtitlers lack professionalism in terms of English-Kurdish subtitling.

Antioxidants have an important and vital function in preserving animal health and have a special ... more Antioxidants have an important and vital function in preserving animal health and have a special role in animal physiological, reproductive, and productive performance. In general, poultry are subjected to a wide and varied range of stressors, including environmental, biological, nutritional, and productive stresses. These stresses frequently occur in quick and intensive poultry production systems, causing health issues related to their physiological and productive performance that may increase the formation of free radicals, which in turn cause lipid peroxidation, leading to a decline in their physiological and productive performance. Therefore, it requires an antioxidant system that can delay the initiation or slow the going rate of harmful oxidative reactions and prevent cellular and molecular damage that results from the influence of free radicals in the cellular metabolism process. Phytochemicals, which are plantderived non-vitamin, non-mineral substances such as flavonoids and carotenoids, are considered dietary nonenzymatic antioxidants that play a protective role against oxidative reactions and minimize the effects of the body's oxidative stress, which supports the animal's physiological productive efficiency and health.

Results revealed that the H2O2 induced oxidative stress retracted the blood parameters and serum antioxidant status (decrease glutathione 1.10 µmol/l and increase malondialdehyde 1.79 nmol/ml), while the ginger enhanced the blood parameters and serum antioxidants status (elevation glutathione 2.92 µmol/l and decline in malondialdehyde 0.41 nmol/ml) compared to the control group (1.58 µmol/l, 0.74 nmol/ml respectively). In conclusion, ginger prevented the oxidative stress effects and returned most of the biochemical values to normal values as in the control group.

So, this research had been conducted to evaluate the effects of adding 0.25 and 0.5% crushed nettle/kg diet on the blood picture and some biochemical indices of broiler. 180 broiler chicks (Ross 308), one-day-old were randomly distributed into 3 groups (60 birds/group) with 3 replicates/group (20 birds/replicate), and treated until 42 days age as follows: 1 st group (Control): standard diets without additives, 2 nd group: 0.25% nettle/kg diet, 3 rd group: 0.50% nettle/kg diet. Results showed that crushed nettle plant led to an increase in the values of packed cell volume, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, and it's shortened clotting time, as well as a significant increase (P≤0.05) in the number of basophils compared to the control group. In regard to the biochemical profile in the blood serum of broiler, most of biochemical indices values became better and significant when adding nettle (high-density lipoproteins, low-density lipoproteins, risk index, total protein, globulin, aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase). In conclusion, nettle can be given to broiler in these proportions to improve the hematological and biochemical indices due to its properties and contents.

Two hundred quail (100 birds belong to each of white and light brown feathers local breeds), they were randomly distributed at 1st-day-age into 5 replicates, 20 birds/ replicate for each breed, and the study continued till the age 84 days. The results of the current study had revealed that the breed and the age, each alone did not significantly affect the physiological and biochemical parameters in this study, whereas the sex factor affects significantly most of the study parameters. The males were highly significant as compared to the females in the following parameter values: red blood cells count, hemoglobin concentration, packed cell volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, monocytes, basophils, glucose, choleste...
