However, the more realistic model is the strong active outsider adversary model wherein a legitimate group user can be compromised by the outsider adversary. In this work, we analyze the security of the Chinese remainder theorem based key management schemes under strong active outsider adversary model. We show that the schemes are insecure and we reason for their insecurity. Also, we provide a generic approach to make the schemes based on Chinese remainder theorem as secure against strong adversary. We conclude that, to make these schemes secure against strong adversary, the cost for every rekeying event requires the cost of initial group set up. That is, for rekeying upon user join or leave, it requires n secure channels for a group of n users which is costly.

Scanning electron microscope measurements showed the morphological evolutions of ZnO from rods to 2D monolayer nanobowl arrays and 3D porous films by controlling the concentration of hydrothermal solutions and reaction time. The photonic stop b and was characterized using reflections spectra presenting the 3D periodic geometry. The photoluminescence spectra indicate good crystalline quality via the hydrothermal route.

It spread across the subcontinent and into Bangladesh, where it was never officially released. Despite, its superior grain and yield qualities swarna is highly susceptible to blast disease. Therefore, in the present study a blast resistant gene Pi2 from donor C101A51 were introgressed into Swarna through marker assisted backcross breeding (MABB) strategy. Twenty five pants were selected possessing Pi-2 gene in homozygous condition through foreground selection by gene specific marker AP5659-5 coupled with stringent phenotypic selection with virulent M.oryzae isolate (SPI-28). Four plants were selected through background selection analysis using polymorphic SSR markers with recurrent parent genome recovery (95%). The indentified plants were morphological similar to recurrent parent in relati...

In the present work, the effect of NH4Cl on the corrosion behavior of carbon steel, under stirring condition, is investigated by potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and other complementary techniques. It is found that the corrosion rate increases with the increase in the concentration of NH4Cl. The polarization measurement implies that the carbon steel is vulnerable to uniform corrosion. The impedance analysis performed at various overpotentials (+0.05 V, +0.15 V and +0.25 V w.r.t OCP) shows multiple time constants, corresponding to capacitance and inductance. The total impedance decreases with the increase in overpotential, suggesting that no strong passivation layer is formed on the surface of carbon steel. In addition, reaction mechanism analysis (RMA) is employed to investigate the mechanistic reaction pathway. From RMA, a multi-step reaction mechanism with three intermediate ads...

A loop of polythene tubing inserted in the left carotid artery induced thrombus formation on the arterial wall at the points of contact with the tips of the cannula. Sprague Dawley (CFY) rats were more susceptible to the thrombotic stimulus than were Wistar (WAG) rats. Whole blood platelet adhesiveness measured by a glass bead column method was higher in CFY rats than in WAG rats.6 - [p - (4-Phenylacetylpiperazin-1 - yl) - phenyl] - 4,5 - dihydro-3(2H)-pyridazinone (CCI 17810) inhibited thrombus formation in CFY rats. Both the incidence of occlusion of the cannulated artery and the mean thrombus weight were reduced by CCI 17810 in doses of 25, 50 or 100 mg/kg administered orally twice daily; the effects were dose-related.The effects of aspirin depended on the dose administered. A high dose (200 mg/kg) did not inhibit thrombus formation whereas a low dose (20 mg/kg) reduced the incidence of occlusion ...

Bacterial blight (BB) disease reduces the yield of rice varieties and hybrids considerably in man... more Bacterial blight (BB) disease reduces the yield of rice varieties and hybrids considerably in many tropical rice growing countries like India. The present study highlights the development of durable BB resistance into the background of an elite maintainer of rice, DRR17B, by incorporating two major dominant genes, Xa21 and Xa33 through marker-assisted backcross breeding (MABB). Through two sets of backcrosses, the two BB resistance genes were transferred separately to DRR17B. In this process, at each stage of backcrossing, foreground selection was carried out for the target resistance genes and for non-fertility restorer alleles concerning the major fertility restorer genes Rf3 and Rf4, using gene-specific PCR-based markers, while background selection was done using a set of 61 and 64 parental polymorphic SSR markers respectively. Backcross derived lines possessing either Xa21 or Xa33 along with maximum genome recovery of DRR17B were identified at BC3F1 generation and selfed to deve...

The increasing integration of wind turbines mainly doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) introd... more The increasing integration of wind turbines mainly doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) introduces dynamic interaction with the conventional synchronous generators (SGs) affecting the damping of low-frequency electromechanical oscillations (LFEOs) in the system. This study presents a complete impact analysis of DFIG integration on system damping. The damping ratio sensitivity to inertia is used to evaluate the impact of DFIG integration on the critical modes. This study identifies that the impact could be positive or negative based on the location of DFIG. The results obtained are verified by detailed eigenvalue analysis and time-domain simulations for different operating conditions with three-phase fault. The negative impact on damping is improved by optimally tuned power oscillation dampers (PODs) with input signals obtained from the phasor measurement units. The impact on dynamic performance of the system due to removal of SGs and addition of DFIGs is investigated. The DFIG penetration is increased on the basis of participation of SGs in critical modes and the results of sensitivity analysis. The proposed approach is tested on standard IEEE 39-bus test system. The investigations carried out in this work can be employed for planning studies of power system integrated with DFIG for identifying their suitable locations and improving LFEO damping with their high penetration.

Two major BB resistance genes, Xa21 and Xa33 and a major blast resistance gene, Pi2 were transferred to RPHR-1005 as two individual crosses. Foreground selection for Xa21, Xa33, Pi2, Rf3 and Rf4 was done by using gene-specific functional markers, while 59 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers polymorphic between the donors and recipient parents were used to select the best plant possessing target resistance genes at each backcross generation. Backcrossing was continued till BC 2 F 2 and a promising homozygous backcross derived line possessing Xa21 + Pi2 and another possessing Xa33 were intercrossed to stack the target resistance genes into the genetic background of RPHR-1005. At ICF 4 , 10 promising lines possessing three resistance genes in homozygous condition along with fine-grain type, complete fertility restoration, better panicle exertion and taller plant type (compared to RPHR-1005) were identified.

A CNN is trained to detect and recognize face images, and a LRC is used to classify the features learned by the convolutional network. Applying feature extraction using CNN to normalized data causes the system to cope with faces subject to pose and lighting variations. LRC which is a discriminative classifier is used to classify the extracted features of face images. Discriminant analysis is more efficient when the normality assumptions are satisfied. The comprehensive experiments completed on Yale face database shows improved classification rates in smaller amount of time.
