The population of this study consisted of all undergraduate students in the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. The systematic random sampling was used in selecting a sample of 129 students. A research question and four hypotheses were raised in the study. Two instruments were adapted and used for data collection: the “Intrinsic Motivation Inventory” (IMI) and “Students' Usage of Library Facilities Scale,” with Cronbach’s alpha reliability indexes of 0.87 and 0.78, respectively. The collected data were analysed using descriptive (frequency counts and percentages) and inferential statistics (linear regression and correlation) at 0.05 alpha level.FindingsFindings of this study revealed that the extent of usage of l...

The purpose of this paper is to explore the perceptions and experiences of lecturers toward students' research project supervision using the computer-mediated corrective feedback, factors that facilitate its use, the most preferred computer-mediated corrective feedback types and the extent of its usage in project supervision.Design/methodology/approachThis research relies on both the Dialectical Theory and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. This study adopted the interpretivist philosophical paradigm. The case study approach of the qualitative design was used in this investigation. The research participants were selected using the multi-stage sampling procedure. In all, twenty-four (24) lecturers (four from each university, comprising 16 males and 8 female...

Obeying precautionary measures has been a great challenge especially among market men and women, including their customers, which appears to be due to several variables. This study examined the impact of socioeconomic status, including income level, level of education, religious affiliation, gender, family structure, cultural background, and age group of market men and women on adherence to COVID-19 protocols in Ogun State, Nigeria. Methods: The study adopted descriptive survey research design where structured and validated questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. Multi-stage sampling procedure was employed to select the sample for the study from the old Ijebu and Egba components of the State, including Ita-Osu new market in Ijebu-Ode and Oba Lipede Market in Abeokuta were purposively selected for t...

Two hundred primary school teachers in ten primary schools were randomly selected for the study (n=200). Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study while modified standardized instrument (24-items) known as the Monitoring and Evaluation Guidance for School Health Programme Questionnaire for Teachers (MEGSCHPQT) developed by UNESCO was used for data collection with reliability of r=0.81. Frequency counts, simple percentage and inferential statistics of chi-square were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that the teachers reported that capacity building (X2=35.60), school infrastructure (X2 =15.30) attitude of teachers (X2=20.65) are significant factors influencing implementation of school health programme in Kosofe local Government. However, support supervision (X2= 1.7) was not found significant. It is therefore ...

This study examined the impact of socioeconomic status of market men and women on adherence to COVID-19 protocol in Ogun State, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey research design where structured and validated questionnaire cum interview guide were used as the instrument for data collection. Multi-stage sampling technique was adopted to select the sample for the study from the old Ijebu and Egba components of the State: Ita-Osu new market Ijebu-Ode and Oba Lipede Market Abeokuta were purposively selected for the study. In each of the market,n=250 market men and women were randomly selected using simple random sampling technique to make a total sample of n=500 in all, out of this, n=481 questionnaires were retrieved to make a total of 96.0% rate of return. The data collected was analyzed with the aid of SPSS version 21.0 windows using simple percentages, Mean, Standard Deviation, T-test, Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis at 0.05 levels of significance. The major findings of this study were that market men and women in Ogun State possessed low level of adherence to COVID-I9 Protocol. In addition, finding also indicated that there is a significant association between gender, religious affiliation, income level, age, type of business and family structure and the level of adherence to COVID-19 preventive precautions. Based on the above, it is therefore recommended that the health educators should be more involved to disseminate information on curbing further spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria
