From the title, "Engaging students in community health: a public health advocacy curriculum", I knew that it would interest me. I have a huge interest in community health, so seeing that in the title automatically made me want to do this article.

An epidemiologic research paper was completed to gain a better understanding of this disease. Methods: To find the pertinent and relevant information, an in depth search was conducted. Scholarly journals and vital statistics were the main resources developed. Databases such as PubMed, Ovid, American Journal of Public Health, and the FAMU library catalog were used. The majority of research was found in the last six years. The only resource beyond that was one from 1990, showing older asthma research.
