This position paper on the Book of Romans sets a post-supersessionist position of the socio-theol... more This position paper on the Book of Romans sets a post-supersessionist position of the socio-theological theme of Romans and continued Jewish covenantal identity. A crucial Jewish contextual hermeneutical move will be assessed as Blackwell and Goodrich’s, “Reading Romans in Context,” J. Brian Tucker’s, “Reading Romans after Supersessionism,” along with Douglas Moo’s “Encountering the Book of Romans” will be texts engaged to set forth the position in this paper. This is not an exhaustive paper nor is it a commentary. It is interacting with Supersessionist Theology of the former scholars and the Post-Supersessionist theoloy of J.Brian Tucker.

This paper examines several key verses in the Akeidah narrative of Genesis 22. It takes into acco... more This paper examines several key verses in the Akeidah narrative of Genesis 22. It takes into account literary threads in regards to the Covenant and Covenant Witness of Israel via Torah, how the promises spoken in Genesis 22 are ratified through Yeshua/Jesus, and how Paul utilized this in Romans. 15. There is a proposal based off the study for a new Christian Canonical Narrative that holds Israel/Jewish People central within that interpretive framework.
This is a sequel to Justin Martyr's "Dialogue with Trypho:" Supersessionism, Successors, and Schi... more This is a sequel to Justin Martyr's "Dialogue with Trypho:" Supersessionism, Successors, and Schism. This paper expands on why the allegorical method of interpreting the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh, Old Testament) and New Testament became favored by the Patristic writers in Christianity. It gets into the dangers and extremes of allegorical interpretation. The Platonic structure of allegory and theory of forms are discussed and how these components were used to pull Christian Biblical interpretation further away from the Jewish roots of Christianity.
