Les études effectuées sur l'évolution de l'envasement dans une dizaine de retenues de bar... more Les études effectuées sur l'évolution de l'envasement dans une dizaine de retenues de barrages en Algérie ont permis de montrer qu’une retenue peut être divisée en trois zones, et que la zone II, qui désigne la partie centrale du réservoir, est loin de toute perturbation liée aux manoeuvres des vannes et des variations du plan d'eau dues aux crues. En conséquence, la sédimentation s'effectue de façon uniforme, avec un toit de la vase qui évolue parallèlement au fond de la retenue.Remini Boualem, Avenard J. M., Kettab A. As the establishment of foggaras is essentially a collective task, no one can be proclaimed the owner of foggara. Therefore, it is considered as a common property. This system of the co-ownership poses the problem of water distribution. Captured water is distributed by a traditional measurement method done by an expert person, kial el ma. The objective of this study was to examine the reliability of traditional methods of water flow measurement in comparison with the current hydraulic methods of flow gauging and measurement. L'eau potable en zones arides represente un enjeu important. Les fuites en reseaux publics et... more L'eau potable en zones arides represente un enjeu important. Les fuites en reseaux publics et chez l'usager semblent etre l'un des facteurs de consommation a restreindre prioritairement. Les enquetes effectuees dans la region de Biskra, evaluent a plus de 50% le taux de pertes par rapport aux volumes d'eau produts. Les fuites dans l'ensemble du systeme de distribution sont estimees selon l'importance relative du debit nocturne par rapport au debit moyen journalier. La comparaison des consommations par rapport aux volumes produits permet egalement d'apprecier les pertes d'eau dans le systeme de distribution. Chez les usagers equipes de pompes domestiques et non dotes de compteurs, la surcosommation et le gaspillage d'eau peuvent atteindre des seuils alarmants.

En Algerie, la technique du soutirage est mal pratiquee sur l'ensemble des barrages, a l'... more En Algerie, la technique du soutirage est mal pratiquee sur l'ensemble des barrages, a l'exception de celui d'lghil Emda qui a enregistre des resultats encourageants, puisque 55% des apports solides totaux ont ete soutires. Ce rendement peut encore etre ameliore pour atteindre la valeur critique qui peut etre evalue a 70%, soit une augmentation de la duree de vie de l'ouvrage de pres de trois fois. A cet effet, l'installation d'un dispositif approprie du soutirage compose de vannettes de faible diametre doit etre le parametre principal pour les projets de realisation de nouveaux barrages.
Abstract: diatomite of SIG also called Kieselguhr, is a white substance of fossil organic origin ... more Abstract: diatomite of SIG also called Kieselguhr, is a white substance of fossil organic origin formed by microscopic skeletons of diatoms which are unicellular algae found in aqueous systems, it has very specific properties such as a porosity greater than 72% and a high adsorption capacity, its main component is amorphous silica, This mineral material is not pure in its natural state and is full of impurities that occupy the pores, that is why the objective of this work is to modify this diatomite before use, in order to improve the quality of the pores and valorized this material, Our diatomite sample was crushed, sieved and the fraction of 500 μm was collected then it underwent a chemical treatment to the 5M nitric acid at 60% for 2 hours at reflux. L'etude menee sur l'envasement des barrages et plus exactement sur le comportement et la ... more L'etude menee sur l'envasement des barrages et plus exactement sur le comportement et la distribution des sediments dans la retenue, nous a permis dans une premiere approche de mettre en evidence trois modes d'envasement : - envasement par courants de densite ; - envasement par charriage des sediments grossiers et decantation des particules fines ; - envasement par rouleaux de recirculation. Les experiences menees sur le modele physique du barrage de Beni Amrane (Algerie) nous a permis d'etudier la repartition des sediments dans la retenue et de justifier le troisieme mode d'envasement.

AbstractOrganic, thermal, and chemical pollutions that are injected either on purpose or accident... more AbstractOrganic, thermal, and chemical pollutions that are injected either on purpose or accidentally in the river hydrosystems are transported under the effect of an average fluid motion by convection, and disseminated in the river hydrosystems by turbulent agitation. These two processes control the pollution in a natural watercourse. The goal of this paper is to study the evolution of an active pollutant dispersion, in this case phenol, in time and space, inside a trapezoidal channel. After presenting the experimental apparatus, designed and manufactured in our laboratory, several types of tests are carried out by injecting the selected pollutant inside the channel, with different concentrations of the phenol solutions. Treatments and analyses of the different tests were conducted, highlighting the evolution of the phenol concentration in time and space, with profiles in the lateral and longitudinal flow directions. Afin d’adopter les limites et la mise en place d’un protocole de lavage du lit filtrant à l’échel... more Afin d’adopter les limites et la mise en place d’un protocole de lavage du lit filtrant à l’échelle de laboratoire et de vérifier si le filtre (sable) présente une altération à l’eau filtré, on à procédé à la détermination de l’absorbance en plusieurs longueurs d’ondes qui consiste à suivre son évolution dans le filtrat de lavage en fonction du temps, ce qui nous permet de tracer des courbes et d’évaluer la présence des particules lessivées durant une expérience. Notre travail consiste à la mise en place d’un protocole de lavage avant la filtration à l’échelle de laboratoire de sable de dune (Erg occidental) de la région Sud Ouest Algérien dans le quel un suivie de l’absorbance de l’eau de lavage en fonction du temps est réalisé. Le but était de voir l’évolution de se paramètre et de prédire l’influence du lit filtrant sur la qualité du perméat.

The subject of the present article is the technical simulation of seawater desalination, by a one... more The subject of the present article is the technical simulation of seawater desalination, by a one stage reverse osmosis system, the objectives of which are the recent valuation of cost price through the use of new membrane and permeator performances, the use of new means of simulation and modelling of desalination parameters, and show the main parameters influencing the cost price. We have taken as the simulation example the Seawater Desalting centre of Djannet (Boumerdes, Algeria). The present performances allow water desalting at a price of 0.5 $/m 3 , which is an interesting and promising price, corresponding with the very acceptable water product quality, in the order of 269 ppm. It is important to run the desalting systems by reverse osmosis under high pressure, resulting in further decrease of the desalting cost and the production of good quality water. Aberration in choice of functioning conditions produces high prices and unacceptable quality. However there exists the possibility of decreasing the price by decreasing the requirement on the product quality. The seawater temperature has an effect on the cost price and quality. The installation of big desalting centres, contributes to the decrease in prices. A very important, long and tedious calculation is effected, which is impossible to conduct without programming and informatics tools. The use of the simulation model has been much efficient in the design of desalination centres that can perform at very improved prices.
