This study is an effort to recognize the factors which influence the choice of a future specialty of young Pakistani doctors in order to help identify the areas which need improvement. Study design This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from 12th May 2021 to 2nd August 2021. Young doctors who had completed their one-year internship in hospitals of Punjab were invited to fill the questionnaire via social media platforms. Data were entered and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23.0. Chi-square tests were applied for qualitative variables. A p-value of less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results Out of 105 participants 60 (57.1%) were females. More females as compared to males decided the future specialty based...

Historically, this condition has been managed by topical corticosteroids and general skincare measures. The inadequacy of these management strategies has always driven efforts to find better drugs. Dupilumab has been recently approved for the management of atopic dermatitis. It is a human monoclonal antibody that inhibits the binding of key interleukins involved in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis, thus blocking the signaling mechanisms and disrupting the disease progression. Dupilumab reduces the severity and associated symptoms of atopic dermatitis. It improves the life quality of patients and reduces the anxiety associated with the disease. Combination therapy of dupilumab and topical corticosteroids is more effective than dupilumab monotherapy. The treatment-related adverse events include headache, injection site reaction, conjunctivitis, nasopharyngitis, and herpes viral infections. Moreover, the simultaneous use of live vaccines with dupilumab is contraindicated. It is also beneficial in the management of asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis, and eosinophilic esophagitis. In this review, we have discussed the clinical efficacy and safety profile of dupilumab in the management of atopic dermatitis.

In this field research trial, thirteen (13) varieties/ advanced lines of brassica were assessed during 2019-20 and 2020-21 by adopting statistical design namely RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) at the experimental research field of (ORI), Faisalabad under the

Charcoal Rot (CR) caused by Macrophomina Phaseolina has adverse effect on sesame crop in Pakistan... more Charcoal Rot (CR) caused by Macrophomina Phaseolina has adverse effect on sesame crop in Pakistan. Use of host plant resistance is the cheapest and effective disease management strategy. In this research 52 local sesame genotypes were used to evaluate resistance against Charcoal rot disease in two consecutive summer seasons i.e. 2017 and 2018, in a sick field under natural conditions. The results showed that there was notable difference in disease infection percentage (DI%) of the varieties tested in two years. Furthermore, the results indicated that DI% for genotypes tested in 2017 ranged from 06.97% to 50.82%, whereas, DI% for genotypes tested in 2018 remained between 4.91% and 52.63%. In both seasons only 3 sesame lines L-7, ML-6-8/12 and L-100 were classified as a resistant (R) and they exhibited lower means of
