The results of FE-SEM and XRD showed an average size of between 6.50 and 17.61 nm for Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles. The Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS) was carried out, and the saturation magnetisations for chitosan, Fe3O4 nanoparticles, TPP-CMN, and V-CMN were 0.153, 67.844, 7.211, and 7.772 emu.g−1, respectively. By using multi-point analysis, the BET surface areas of the synthesised TPP-CMN and V-CMN nano-sorbents were found to be 8.75 and 6.96 m2/g, respectively. The synthesised TPP-CMN and V-CMN were investigated as effective nano-sorbents to uptake Cd (II), Co (II), Cu (II), and Pb (II) ions, and the results were investigated by AAS. The adsorption process of heavy metals was investigated by the b...

The present study aims to optimize the cost-effective steady-state fermentation process for the maximum production of glucose oxidase by Aspergillus niger isolated from a locally contaminated onion. For low-cost enzyme production, the possibility of a submerged steady-state fermentation process was evaluated. The enzyme production was assessed by using local low-cost saccharose (C12H22O11) as carbon source and sodium nitrate (NaNO3) as the nitrogen source. Effect of peptone and urea on GOX production by A. nigerwere also examined. The initial pH for the optimal production of GOX was found 5.5. The addition of K+in fermentation medium increases enzyme activity while Mg2+was found to inhibit glucose oxidase production by A. niger. Although Ferric ion (Fe3+) showed the highest GOX productivity,it forms reddish-brown colour which hi...

Due to its characteristic surface properties, mechanical strength, tunable hydrophilicity, viscous properties, availability and abundance of raw materials, low-cost synthesis process, and likewise many contrasting aspects, it is now widely used in various advanced application fields, for example, food, paper, textile, and pharmaceutical industries, biomedical engineering, wastewater treatment, energy production, and storage energy production, and storage and so on. Many research articles have been reported on CMC, depending on their sources and application fields. Thus, a comprehensive and well-organized review is in great demand that can provide an up-to-date and in-depth review on CMC. Herein, this review aims to provide compact information of the synthesis to the advanced applications of this material in various fields. Finally, this article covers the insights of future CMC research that could guid...

The phase behaviors of these oligomeric compounds with various structures of the mesogenic group and the core were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarizing optical microscopy (POM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. Liquid crystalline properties were observed for almost all of the synthesized oligomers in a wide temperature range.
