The energy eigen equation and the corresponding normalised wave function were obtained in closed form. The resulting energy eigen equation were use to study partition function and other thermodynamic properties such as vibrational mean energy, vibrational specific heat capacity, vibrational mean free energy and vibrational entropy for the proposed potential as applied to lithium hydride diatomic molecule. The thermodynamic plots obtained were in excellent agreement to work of existing literatures. The wave function and probability density plots for the diatomic molecules were obtained through a well designed and implemented maple programme.PACS Nos: 03.65Ge; 03.65-w; 03.65Ca

We obtain energy-Eigen equation and total normalised wave function expressed in terms of Jacobi polynomial. The numerical solutions produce positive and negative bound state energies which signifies that the potential is suitable for describing both particle and anti-particle. The numerical bound state energies decreases with an increase in quantum state with fixed orbital angular quantum number 0, 1, 2 and 3. The numerical bound state energies decreases with an increase in the screening parameter and 0.5. The energy spectral diagrams show unique quantisation of the different energy levels. This potential reduces to Coulomb potential as a special case. The numerical solutions were carried out with algorithm implemented using MATLAB 8.0 software using the resulting energy-Eigen equ...

Numerical bound state energies were carried out using a well-designed Matlab algorithm while the plots were obtained using origin software. The result obtained is in agreement with that of the existing literature.

Journal of Physical Science and Application, 2015

The relativistic study of spinless particles under a special case of equal scalar and vector gene... more The relativistic study of spinless particles under a special case of equal scalar and vector generalized Hylleraas potential with position dependent mass has been studied. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions expressed in terms of a Jacobi polynomial are obtained using the parametric generalization of NU (Nikiforo-Uvarov) method. In obtaining the solutions for this system, we have used an approximation scheme to evaluate the centrifugal term (potential barrier). To test the accuracy of the result, we compared the approximation scheme with the centrifugal term and the result shows a good agreement with the centrifugal term for a short-range potential. The results obtained in this work would have many applications in semiconductor quantum well structures, quantum dots, quantum liquids. Under limiting cases, the results could be used to study the binding energy and interaction of some diatomic molecules which is of great applications in nuclear physics, atomic and molecular physics and other related areas. We have also discussed few special cases of generalized Hylleraas potential such as Rosen-Morse, Woods-Saxon and Hulthen potentials.

Our results under limiting cases are consistent with those available in the literature. We have also obtained the numerical values of our results.

Basic properties of the dust-ion-acoustic shock waves have been made by the reductive perturbation method to derive the Burgers' equation for nonplanar geometry. The solution of modified Burgers' equation in nonplanar geometry is numerically analyzed and it has been found that, the nonplanar geometry effects have a very vital role in the development of shock waves. We also discovered that; the inclusion of the nonthermal electron distribution significantly modifies the shock wave profile. The change of the DIASW structure due to the effect of ion temperature and dust density is studied.
