METHODS Fifteen patients with extra-articular distal radius malunions (13 dorsal and 2 volar) underwent z-corrective osteotomy and volar plate fixation without bone grafting. Correction and maintenance of each deformity was evaluated in terms of various radiographic indices (radial height; volar and radial tilt); osteotomy union; pain (visual analog scale); grip strength; range of motion; Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand scores; and Mayo wrist scores. RESULTS The mean follow-up was 16.4 months. The mean radial height was corrected from -1.3 mm to 4.9 mm. The mean ulnar variance improved from 4.3 mm to -0.4 mm. The sagittal radial tilt and radial inclination were restored from a mean of -17.9° (dorsal) to 3.3° (volar) and from 12.0° to 17.2°, respectively. The Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand and Mayo wrist scores improved from means of 36 and 56 preoperatively to 24.8 and 73.3, respectively, at 6 months and further to 20.6 and 77.6, respectively, at the last follow-up. There were no nonunions or tendon-related problems. The mean pain score decreased from 4.1 preoperatively to 1.0 at 6 months and 0.8 at the last follow-up. The mean grip strength improved from 5.6 kg preoperatively to 15.6 kg at 6 months and 19.7 kg at the last follow-up. There was a statistically significant improvement in range of motion at the wrist. CONCLUSIONS The z-osteotomy provides correction of deformity in all 3 planes, along with restoration of radial height. It also maintains a broad area of bone contact between the 2 osteotomized bone fragments, facilitating bony union and eliminating the need for bone grafting. TYPE OF STUDY/LEVEL OF EVIDENCE Therapeutic IV.

Untimely switching on and off, and incessant glowing throughout the day without intensity regulation contribute to tremendous energy wastage. Also, manual control is tiring and outdated in this day and age of automation. It is of dire need to revolutionize the ways and means through which these lights are operated. The ultimate goal is to save energy, long term costs, and manpower along with attaining management of time and a systematic cycle of operation. In this paper, a befitting model that makes use of Arduino board is proposed which addresses these concerns. It is the brainpower of the entire setup. Light dependent resistor (LDR) and infrared (IR) sensors are some of the major components used in smart street lighting. IR sensor detects movement and LDR powers the street lights only after evening. Another vital component is the Real time clock (RTC) which gives the real time to circuit. On implementing the model, it is clear that the use of Arduino Uno along with LDR, IR sensor and RTC achieve the aim of intensity regulation on the basis of need and automation of the process. Introduction, working, calculations and analysis along with related works have been discussed. Conclusions are made in the end.

In such networks, as all nodes may not be awake during the transmission of time synchronization messages, nodes will require to re-transmit the synchronization messages. Ideally a node should re-transmit for the maximum sleep duration to ensure that all nodes are synchronized. However, such a proposition will immensely increase the energy consumption of the nodes. Such a situation demands that there is an upper bound of the number of retransmissions. We refer to the time a node spends in re-transmission of the control message as broadcast duration. We ask the question, what should be the broadcast duration to ensure that a certain percentage of the available nodes are synchronized. The problem to estimate the broadcast duration is formulated so as to capture the probability threshold of the nodes being synchronized. Results show the proposed analytical model can predict the broadcast duration with a given lower error margin under real world conditions, thus demonstrating the efficiency of our solution.

This chronic illness is also related with the degenerative extended pathological disorders like retinopathies, nephropathies, atherosclerosis, wound healing problems and cataract. Insulin a hormone prepared by pancreas helps glucose from foodstuff get into your cells to be utilised for energy. Due to overtime the large amount of glucose in your body can results for health problem also. Tissue renovates and wound curing are complicated processes that engross inflammation, granulation and tissue remodelling. Wound curing is characterised by two stages via inflammation and proliferation. The extract of Carica Papaya fruit has been checked for its wound curing nature in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats by using excision as well as dead space wound models. The therapeutic utilisation of Carica Papaya relies because of the existence of papain an active constituent. Carica Papaya have antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti inflammatory behaviour which provoke us to ensure the wound curing property of following drugs on wound healing specially on diabetic rodent. This whole study emphasize on the effect of diabetes (high blood glucose sugar level) on the wound curing rate of rodents. Diabetes was induced by using streptozotocin and the blood glucose estimation was performed on tail vein blood by using a glucometer accu check wistar rats whose fasting blood glucose levels exceeded 250 mg/dl, were measured as diabetic.

The zero-magnetic field (H = 0) insulator–metal transition temperature (IMT) measured in warming cycle ~ 166 K is higher than that in the cooling cycle = 128 K and the difference between them shrinks as H is increased. The two IMTs scale with H as . Here is the H-independent contribution, and the constants, pre-factor and exponent determine the magnetic field dependent part. The ρ–T loop area (A T ) diminishes with the increasing H as the magnetic liquid is extremely unstable with respect to external H (H < 30 kOe) and consequently A T shows an exponential decay given by . Here, is the zero-field normalized area and Γ is a constant related to the degree of phase separation. The analysis of the isothermal ρ–H loop area, which increases with H shows scaling behaviour of the type . Here, the constant H IM corresponds to the magnetic field that induces AFMI to FMM phase transition and decreases with temperature, while the exponent 'η' measures the degree of phase separation. The value of η is found to be temperature dependent and hence related to the relative fraction of the two coexisting phases.

Today, as many organization and enterprises are beginning to adopt the IOT(internet of things),they all need for large amount of data to be accessed quickly, to be safe on cloud from attacker or insider then the security is also important mechanism to secure cloud data of an government organization or any IT-industry. Sometimes existing encryption data protection mechanisms failed in preventing data theft attacks from criminal attacker, especially from insider to the cloud provider. To provide security to cloud data from unauthorized access from malicious attacker we propose a different approach to securing data in cloud system by using decoy technology. We monitor user behavior or data access patterns in cloud system and identifying abnormal data access patterns. When any unauthorized data access patterns is suspected then decoy data is provided to the unauthorized user. This mechanism protects against the misuse of the user real data. If incase real user get trapped in this system then user can ask one time password for verification.

By which side they are being attracted and by which side they are being repelled. And what happen when we flip the magnet? Both flipping one by one. Many of the people doing the experiment are not known what the results are when we flip any one of the magnet to their real position. They are thinking the result should be same. It's so easy to perform this you only needed two magnet of high power so easily you can observe the results. First take the reading normally and then flip the magnet simultaneous one by one. This gives me incredible results. On just flipping the magnets it just changes its whole properties. On the basis of flipping the magnet mechanically we can design the magnetic motor which would exceed all the available efficiencies. And the one which people are looking for results like over unity motor might be possible by this concept. Because magnetism and electromagnetism are even now missing secrets, and everything is yet to be discovered. The other is to clear the misconception of magnets that the strength of magnet on other side changes when the magnetic dipoles are shifted in other direction. When magnet is attracted or repelled by one side strongly in that situation, what will be the results on other side of it? Either it will be repelled by that force only or the force will be decreased for other side. This result can also be used in making very efficient electric motors.

Magnets, electromagnets and electricity we are using in our day to day life. And every time these things are dealing with the temperature. This experiment we have conducted to find out that with increase in temperature or with decrease in temperature, will the properties of material (Magnet, Electromagnet and Electricity) will increases or decreases. Or there is chances that their properties value will be constant. To find this, we have used strong magnet made of neodymium, electricity and set of strong electromagnet. Also for cooling the magnet refrigerator and a heating component is used. A wire is used of known resistance. There was lot of change in properties of all these materials after the experimentation.

Recent technological advancement in hand-held computing devices such as smart phones/PDA integrat... more Recent technological advancement in hand-held computing devices such as smart phones/PDA integrates cyber and physical worlds altogether. This interaction creates a new paradigm called mobile crowd sourcing which takes advantages of human intellect and a large pool on internet users to perform various task more efficiently. In such applications, users are generally recruited in ad hoc manner to do a task and often receive some incentive. Such ad hoc nature provides flexibility for users to do any job but often decreases their reliability and output quality. Quality control is generally done by increasing the workforce which increases cost. To solve this issue, we proposed a user assignment framework which pushes the task to the right set of users which can perform the task in more economically efficient way. These framework first rank users by performing semantic comparison among task's requirements and user's attributes. Then it tries to assign minimum, yet most efficient users for each task in mutually exclusive manner. This framework ensures the allocation of most efficient users for each task while keeping the reward cost as minimum as possible, hence allows application developers and end users to enjoy the power of crowd in more effective way.

The device is an autonomous mobile robot powered by solar power. Solar energy is abundantly available for most parts of the year in the konkan belt with average time between sunrise and sunset at 6.5-8 hours per day. This device effectively utilizes the available solar energy for generation of power for ploughing small fields. The device reduces the dependency of farmers on diesel powered vehicles and animals. The human effort for the ploughing process is reduced. This method not only saves electricity but also avoids air pollution and the emissions of toxic gases into the atmosphere. It eliminates use of bulls and human labor. It also reduces the time taken to plough the fields. Motion control through Arduino ultrasonic sensors, moisture sensors and solar panel with 20 W capacity and DC motor for vehicle movement are the critical components of the device.
