Currently, transcatheter closure is standard of care. Device closure in PDA is usually done by an antegrade technique where PDA is crossed from the PA side. In some patients, this universal procedure may not be successful due to anatomical differences. In such patients, the retrograde technique with retrograde wiring and antegrade snaring approach followed by PDA device closure may be used successfully to close PDA. We report such a case of difficult PDA device closure where the antegrade technique was not successful and PDA device closure was completed by retrograde approach.

The incidence of VSR has decreased from 1-3% following ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in the pre-reperfusion era to 0.17-0.31% following primary percutaneous coronary intervention. Survival to 1 month without intervention is 6%. We report a case of a 60-year-old male, admitted in a peripheral hospital with acute anterior wall myocardial Infarction. He was thrombolized with streptokinase. He developed breathlessness at rest and shifted to our hospital for further management. On evaluation in intensive care unit found to have VSR. The patient was in cardiogenic shock. The ventricular septal rupture was successfully closed with a septal occluder device. After which the patient stabilized hemodynamically and was discharged after 8 days.

It is technically safe, feasible and has the obvious advantage of being a nonsurgical technique. Patient is free from the scar especially young, unmarried females. It is not free of complications. Device embolization and arrhythmias are the major complications. Embolised device can cause hemodynamic compromise by obstructing the blood flow if it gets embolised in pulmonary artery. We report a case of 24 year old female, taken for device closure of atrial septal defect. Device gets embolised in pulmonary artery causing hemodynamic compromise by causing obstruction to blood flow. This embolised device was successfully retrieved percutaneously. The atrial septal defect was closed with one size larger device, in the same sitting. Patient is asymptomatic and is free from any scar.

Cardiology and Angiology: An International Journal, 2019

Super-dominant right coronary artery and the absent left circumflex artery is a rare congenital c... more Super-dominant right coronary artery and the absent left circumflex artery is a rare congenital coronary anomaly, with only a few cases reported in the literature. Left anterior descending artery arises directly from the left anterior coronary cusp. Rare coronary anomalies are sometimes encountered during primary percutaneous interventions, which may lead to changes in the course of action. We report a case of a 38-year-old patient admitted with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock. Coronary angiography revealed super-dominant right coronary artery and absent left circumflex artery. There was thrombotic occlusion of the proximal left anterior descending artery. The patient underwent successful primary percutaneous intervention of the left anterior descending artery with a good result, was discharged after 5 days. Our case also shows the importance of taking coronary angiogram of the contralateral artery first, before taking the shoot of the infarct-related...

It also infers about the various parameters associated with the increasing pollution across the globe, its ill effects and the future scenario of the same. An air quality dataset reporting level of pollution and weather every hour for five years is taken and long short-term memory (LSTM) network-based recurrent neural networks (RNNs) using Keras library with Tensorflow as back-end were applied in a python environment. The paper studies all 13 parameters affecting the weather and air pollution conditions and forecasts the pollution for an hour given the weather conditions and pollution value for the previous hour.

Research paper thumbnail of Recognizing and Interpreting Sign Language Gesture for Human Robot Interaction

International Journal of Computer Applications, 2012

This paper describes a sign language gesture based recognition, interpreting and imitation learning system using Indian Sign Language for performing Human Robot Interaction in real time. It permits us to construct a convenient sign language gesture based communication with humanoid robot. The classification, recognition, learning, interpretation process is carried out by extracting the features from Indian sign language (ISL) gestures. Chain code and fisher score is considered as a feature vector for classification and recognition process. It is to be done by the two statistical approaches namely known as Hidden Markov Model (HMM) technique and feed forward back propagation neural network (FNN) in order to achieve satisfactory recognition accuracy. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were found to be equal 98.60%, 97.64% and 97.52% respectively. It can be concluded that FNN gives fast and accurate recognition and it works as promising tool for recognition and interpretation of sign language gesture for human computer interaction. The overall accuracy of recognition and interpretation of the proposed system is 95.34%. Thus, this approach is suitable for automated real time human computer interaction tool.

Research paper thumbnail of Spatio-Spectral Image Fusion Using Local Embeddings

The purpose of image fusion algorithms is to achieve a single image with high spatial resolution and high spectral resolution. The major challenges faced by existing algorithms are of output image quality in terms of colour distortion and blurring. This paper models the spatio-spectral image fusion as a problem of non-linear dimensionality reduction. The aim is to define each point of fused image as a linear combination of its neighbours in multi spectral image and the corresponding pixel values from down scaled panchromatic image. The assumption here is that the spectral behaviour of fused image is similar to that of multispectral image. The performance of the model is compared with existing state of the art methods for same-sensor dataset.

Effect of sugar at concentrations of 0,0.5.0.75, and 1% by weight of cement-on-cement paste and M20 grade of concrete cured at 3,7,14, and 28 days was studied using Portland cement in the laboratory. The main function of sug-ar is it is used as an admixture to increase the initial setting time of concrete. After the study, it was concluded that the workability and compressive strength of concrete get enhanced when admixture like sugar is added into the concrete mix.

Further we will go to neutrino oscillations in vacuum and calculate probability in both two and three flavor case and discuss the experimental findings. At last, we will cover neutrino oscillations in matter with uniform density background

Pneumonia impacts all the elderly and young people's families and children everywhere but is most prevalent in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. In December 2019 Wuhan, a city of China was affected by deadly, gruesome Pneumonia which was declared a pandemic by World Health Organisation. But the reason for the outbreak was not clear to everyone. Later, the doctors identified the disease as a new species of coronavirus, also currently known as COVID-19. The main motivation behind this research was to identify Pneumonia just by using the X-Ray images of the patients. As doctors must do a lot of certain tests to identify if the patient has Pneumonia or not. To solve the cumbersome problem, an ensemble of two deep learning models is developed, to make the work of the doctors simpler. In this paper, a comparison between previously written relevant research papers is done and concluded with an ensembled deep learning model to achieve a remarkable test data accuracy or unseen data accuracy.

To ensure the same, it is important to forecast air quality in terms of parameters that cause air pollution directly or indirectly, which generally affects the living population. US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has suggested a method to estimate air quality index in a region which constitutes different concentration of criteria air pollutants such as RSPM, SO2, NO2, and SPM. The motive of our research is to model a predicting model for forecasting daily AQI, that can be put to use for local and regional air quality management.

The prepared samples were examined for microstructure and mechanical characterization. The MMCs samples exhibited successful incorporation and homogeneous dispersion of fly ash particles. The fly ash addition assisted in enhancing the hardness and decrease in strength of aluminum MMCs.
