The model was solved using LINGO software, taking into account market demand, production revenue, production time, and production cost data to optimize production planning. The findings showed that the objectives of minimizing production cost, maximizing sales revenue, and maximizing machine utilization were achieved, with no negative or positive deviational variables. The study suggests that by using sensitivity analysis, the company can increase costs by 2.14% to minimize production costs in the following year, but this could result in a 4.37% reduction in revenues. Overall, the goal-programming model demonstrates the potential for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry in Saudi Arabia to achieve its goals for cost optimization, sales revenue maximization, and resource utilization.

This study aims to develop and implement a goal programming model to evaluate financial planning based on the annual financial report of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), which assisted it in developing the financial planning model. This study is mainly designed to analyze SABIC’s budgeting structure; therefore, in order to maximize the benefits from the whole budget, goal programming is implemented for the entire budget. As a result of this study, we identified the following objectives as specific: reduced expenses, increased revenue, increased net profit, increased fixed assets, reduced debt, and increased equity share participation as a result of this project. Moreover, the analysis involved determining whether all objectives were met at the end of the study. Consequently, this...

The British law regarding protection of intellectual property was wide and encompassing. The British law provided highest degree of protection to the pharmaceutical industry; however this also led to very high prices of medicines in India. To provide cheap medicine and to promote Indian pharmaceutical Industry, Indian Patent Act (1970) was implemented in India it allowed process patent for pharmaceutical Industry. The law was later amended to fulfill the mandatory requirements of WTO and TRIPS. The changes in law caused paradigm shift in the business of Indian pharmaceutical industry. The present paper is an attempt to find how the change in law has impacted the Indian pharmaceutical industry. The present paper is based on Secondary data taken from annual reports of pharmaceutical Industries Aurbindo, Cipla, Lupin, Ranbaxy, Dabur. The technique of GAP analysis has been used to compare the financial position of Indian pharmaceutical companies in PRE TRIPS period and POST TRIPS period SPSS package has also been used to analyze the data. The results of the study indicate that there is overall improvement in financial position of Indian pharmaceutical companies in POST TRIPS period. The improvement is due to more spending in R&D activities and strengthening of their core competencies. The study provides an insight to the position of Indian pharmaceutical industry in the present legal scenario.

In this paper, we develop an optimal bank model for the financial management department in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The lexicographic goal programming model was used to formulate the banks’ performance management. In this study, the six goals of one of the leading banks in Saudi Arabia, namely, maximize asset, minimize liability, maximize equity, maximize operating income, maximize net income, and maximizing total goal achievements in the financial statement, were studied. To illustrate the model, we have focused on Al Rajhi Bank’s financial statements as a case study. The data was obtained from the banks’ financial statements. The outcomes of the study exhibited that all goals were accomplished. This proposed model is dynamic because it will help examine the banks’ financial strengths located in the kingdom. As a result, the proposed model can guide banking firms in making d...

Facilities for health care considered a key component of successful and sustainable community work. Research work in this area is limited in the Saudi context. DEA-an Operational Research approach, well-established methods used to estimate the performance of hospitals. In this research, the researcher aims to demonstrate the use of "Data Envelopment Analysis" (DEA) to evaluate hospital performance through twenty regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The "Basic Radial Models with Variable Returns to scale (VRS) input-oriented" are used to estimate the efficiency of Hospitals. The DEA method helps administrators recognize inefficient interventions and take the steps required to change them. The input variables used in this analysis include the number of doctors, number of nurses, number of pharmacists, number of medical assistants, number of beds, number of hospitals and number of health centers. The output variables used in this analysis include the number of radiation tests, number of laboratory tests, number of patients (emergency), number of visits (outpatient clinics) and number of patients (number of inpatients at MOH's hospitals). The data obtained from the Ministry of Health's Portal. The lack of productivity should be resolved by increasing budget allocation and only in certain situations by improving policies on resource management.

The present paper is based on Secondary data taken from annual reports of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA). The ANN and ARIMA models for forecasting are the important tools and techniques in order to illustrate the superior growth in the economy of the country. In this study, "ANN" and "Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average models" (ARIMA) have been used for predicting the total annual crude oil export of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With the help of statistical software, this study tries to predict a time series data by illustrating the ANN and ARIMA models on total annual crude oil export. The total annual crude oil export of the Kingdom is gradually increasing after the year 2003. This research shall benefit the Government Administration to study about crude oil export. The outcomes of the study present that ANN model is better to predict the total annual crude oil export of the Kingdom. This study provides an insight into the position of forecasting the total annual crude oil export. The Government organization can be applied this study in making the strategic plans.
