In this sense, the present analysis is intended as an intervention on the terms of the debate around this conflict seen from a Marxist perspective with the intention of problematizing its historical significance for our global present and future.

The dichotomy of repairing or replacing capitalism implies thinking of alternative political-econ... more The dichotomy of repairing or replacing capitalism implies thinking of alternative political-economic systems to the current hegemonic Western versión. Paradoxically, the political debate does not satisfy the great demand for innovative ideas with proposals that will have to be equally visionary and realistic. This article intends to contribute to filling this gap by presenting a series of concrete initiatives that aim to connect the theory of structural (or systemic) changes with institutional practice. Another way of understanding this type of social transformation can be thought through the concepts of shift paradigm or revolution.

The emergence of the digital space together with the new communication technologies that the Inte... more The emergence of the digital space together with the new communication technologies that the Internet brought with it created a whole new space with its own repertoire of resources and tactics for political action. The article analyzes a type of social practices that are found between the intersection of computer hacking and the tradition of civil disobedience: Hacktivism. This work is a contribution to the study of political action in the digital environment4, an object of research that escapes traditional models of political participation due to two characteristics of this phenomenon, namely: its transnational dimension and its non-institutionalized character.

freedom proposed by the philosopher Isaiah Berlin who deconstructs this idea into two constituent concepts, namely: positive freedom [li-
freedom to] and negative freedom [freedom from]. This last form of
Freedom will be defended throughout the text as a sine qua non condition for the existence of the minimum space that allows the emergence of individual subjectivity or individual (basic unit of a free and democratic society). Consequently, the hypothesis that this article will support consists of the affirmation, according to which, only a political ethic founded on a negative conception of freedom can bring our society closer to its desired ideal: the happiness of the individual and the free development of their abilities in harmony with others.

La presente tesis doctoral es una indagación histórica, teórica y política sobre la plausibilidad... more La presente tesis doctoral es una indagación histórica, teórica y política sobre la plausibilidad de una transformación fundamental de nuestra sociedad capitalista moderna mediada por una intervención política en una nueva formación social que no simplemente niega el capitalismo sino que lo trasciende mediante el reconocimiento de su potencial inherente para la emancipación social. Es decir, apropiándose conscientemente de la potencialidad de libertad del capital y superando así su forma alienada, según la crítica inmanente marxista de la política emancipatoria. Por lo tanto, la presente disertación intenta unir la no identidad de la teoría y la práctica para abordar el problema del capitalismo reapropiando críticamente la historia de la lucha por el socialismo y aplicando un análisis marxista o materialismo dialéctico a nuestro momento político actual en el que la organización marxista Platypus Affiliated Society sirve como un momento de cognición para abarcar el presente desde la perspectiva privilegiada de la historia y la historia desde el presente con la intención de reconocer las tareas que nuestro tiempo nos plantea para avanzar en la libertad social.
The present doctoral dissertation is a historical, theoretical, and political inquiry on the plau... more The present doctoral dissertation is a historical, theoretical, and political inquiry on the plausibility of a fundamental transformation of our modern capitalist society mediated by political intervention into a new social formation that does not simply deny capitalism but transcends it by realizing its inherent potential for social emancipation. That is to say, by consciously appropriating capital's potentiality for freedom and thus overcoming its alienated form, according to the Marxist immanent critique of emancipatory politics. Therefore the present dissertation attempts to unite the non-identity of theory and practice to approach the problem of capitalism by critically re-appropriating the history of the struggle for socialism and applying a Marxian analysis or dialectical materialism to our current political moment in which the Marxist organization Platypus Affiliated Society serves as a moment of cognition for grasping the present from the vantage point of history and history from the present in order to recognize the tasks that our time poses to us for advancing social freedom.
