Orbital teratoma is a rare tumor composed of tissue derived from the three germinal layers, it us... more Orbital teratoma is a rare tumor composed of tissue derived from the three germinal layers, it usually occurs in otherwise healthy newborns as a fluctuating mass in orbit, with extreme proptosis and periorbital deformity. There are few reports in literature about this topic; we present a case report with severe stretching and deformity of periocular tissue, which underwent enucleation and careful removal of the tumor, properly sparing the eyelids and other structures in the anophthalmic cavity to fit an ocular prosthesis. It did well, improving the patient’s cosmetic appearance and preserving his orbitofacial development. Even though in many cases it is not possible to preserve visual function in patients with congenital orbital teratoma, it is equally important to achieve the best possible cosmetic result.

This paper presents an optimal design of a surface-based polynomial fitting for tracking the maxi... more This paper presents an optimal design of a surface-based polynomial fitting for tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of a photovoltaic (PV) system, here named surface-based polynomial fitting (MPPT-SPF). The procedure of the proposed MPPT-SPF strategy is based on a polynomial model to characterize data from the PV module with a global fit. The advantage of using polynomials is that they provide a good fit within a predefined data range even though they can diverge greatly from that range. The MPPT-SPF strategy is integrated with a DC-DC boost converter to verify its performance and its interaction with different control loops. Therefore, the MPPT strategy is applied to the reference outer PI control loop, which in turn provides the current reference to the inner current loop based on a discrete-time sliding current control. Por esta razon, antes de escribir sobre las variaciones establecidas en la Ley 50 de 1990, es bueno hacer algunas observaciones en cuanto a la situacion economica en general y su influencia en las relaciones obreropatronales existentes al momento de su expedicion por parte del Congreso de la Republica. Porque solo en la medida que entendamos el momento historico vivido, vamos a comprender y asimilar los cambios que se dieron en el Codigo Sustantivo del Trabajo.
