It is caused by overproduction (producing more than is immediately needed) but in turn it causes several other wastes. How does excess inventory manifest itself? I.e. Extra space, Extra people, waste conveyance, extra costs. Inventory management in lean is built around the same principles that govern most lean activity: create a simple set of tools that can be used directly in the workplace that will help surface problems so that they can be addressed. Inventory management is thus quite different in lean, starting with the view of inventory as a waste rather than an asset. From a practical point of view, what this means is that inventory reduction is built into the fabric of the system , just like it is for any other waste. Because of this, they are typically no special efforts or programs aimed at reducing excess inventory. Reducing inventory is a part of everyday work life.In this paper we will cover two important topics for the...

While the vital approach for the most part relates to the streamlining of system assets, for example, outlining systems, area and assurance of the quantity of offices, and so on., strategic choices manage the mid-term, including creation levels at all plants, gathering strategy, stock levels and part sizes, and operational choices are identified with how to settle on the strategic choices occur temporarily, for example, creation arranging and booking. This paper gave an itemized meaning of Jigs and apparatuses, and furthermore distinguished the various focal points that are related with the utilization of jigs and apparatuses in assembling to include: generation increment, cost diminishment, compatibility what's more, high exactness of parts, decrease of the requirement for investigation and quality control costs, diminishment of mishap as security is enhanced, computerization of machine instrument to a considerable degree, simple machining of mind boggling and overwhelming parts, and also low inconstancy in measurement which prompts to steady nature of made items. The work likewise clarified that since the configuration is subject to various elements which are examined to accomplish an ideal yield, that jig and installations ought to be made of inflexible light materials to encourage simple dealing with. The paper primarily examines and investigates how to understand the enhancement of vital and strategic choices together in the inventory network. Hence, a store network arrange (SCN) plan issue is considered as a vital choice furthermore, the sequential construction system adjusting issue is taken care of as a strategic choice.

The aim of this study was to identify the psychological, social and clinical characteristics of patients with hand eczema, in particular the prevalences of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and comorbidities. Data on patients with hand eczema were analysed from a large European multicentre study conducted with dermatology outpatients from 13 countries. Groups of patients and controls were compared to analyse the psychological burden of hand eczema. Female patients with hand eczema had higher Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) scores for anxiety (n = 86, median = 7.0) than controls (n = 900, median = 5.0, p = 0.02), and for depression (median = 4.0) than controls (3.0, p < 0.001). Patients with high suicidal ideation, with low socioeconomic status and who were widowed or divorced were more likely to fulfil the HADS criteria for...

However its efficacy depends on compliance. The aim of this study is to 1) establish compliance 2) identify attitudes & barriers, 3) address barriers to improve compliance. Methods: Records of patients who had dermatological surgery at a British regional centre were studied December 2014-May 2015. Questionnaires were sent to staff to establish attitudes & barriers. Changes were implemented including delivering Education Sessions, and allocating a specified time for checklist completion. Compliance was reassessed 4 weeks later. Results: 217 patient notes were studied. The most common procedure was excision biopsy (66%); 13% had surgery to multiple sites. On average, 76% of checklist items were filled in; 5% of checklists were fully filled in. Items with the highest completion were 'Pace Maker' (93%), 'Allergies' (90%), 'Immunosuppression' (90%); items with the lowest were 'Identity' 76%), 'Site'(72%), 'Antibiotic' (67%). Questionnaire responses from 10 nurses and 15 doctors showed the Checklist was felt to be important for communication, safety, and is applicable to dermatology. Key barriers were lack of time, & need for Checklist information through 'educational sessions' and 'online resources'. Barriers were addressed & compliance was reassessed in 100 patient notes. There were significant improvements in compliance (p<0.0001) with average completion rate 98% vs. 76% previously, and full completion rate 71% vs. 5%. 'Surgical Site' & 'Identity' both had 100% compliance, compared to 76% & 72% previously. Conclusions: The WHO Checklist is relevant & important in Dermatology, but lack of time may explain baseline compliance. 'Patient identity' & 'surgical site' were the least filled items, which could lead to wrong patient or wrong site surgery especially as a sixth of our patients have multiple-site surgery. Providing specified time for Checklist completion and different information formats can increase 'buy-in' from staff, and significantly improve compliance and patient safety.

It is a mixture of some old and few novel techniques to nail down the fundamental problem of Food-Items, Prices, quantities and units recognition, extraction of them from the Grocery Receipts and then correction. There is no specialized OCR system, we found during our literature review, all are generic images to text conversions. We have targeted specialized OCR system, which is actually a wrapper around the basic OCR. This specialized OCR Engine is in the context of Grocery related details like items name, price, quantity and units in Receipt. We have wrapped Tesseract (an open source OCR engine by Google). Our system improve the OCR results by considering some heuristics and intelligent rules. The extracted text passes through some filters (these are advance regular expressions for recognizing item name, quantity, price and units). Context aware spell correction is applie...

The utilization of signatures is in all legal and financial documents. Verification of signatures now becomes necessary to distinguish between original and forged signature. A computer based technique is necessitated in this regard. Verification of signatures can be performed either offline or online. Under offline systems, signatures are taken as an image and recognition is performed using some artificial intelligence techniques including neural networks. We have worked on off-line Signature Recognition and Verification System (SRVS) by taking artificial neural network technique into account. Signatures are taken as image and after some necessary pre-processing (i.e. to isolate the signature area) training of system is done with some initial stored samples to which authentication is needed. MATLAB has been used to design the system. The system is tested for several scanned signatures and the results are found satisfactory (about approximately 95% success rate). Image quality plays an important role as poor quality of signature image may lead to the failure to recognize/verify a signature. Increase in the attributes/ features of signature will increase the verification ability of the system but it may lead to higher computational complexity
