This study explored the effects of gender, attitude towards mathematics, socioeconomic status, us... more This study explored the effects of gender, attitude towards mathematics, socioeconomic status, use of computer, television watching, school type, school climate and medium of instructions on mathematics achievement. A convenience sample of 1944 students, 975 males and 969 female from thirty six schools of SouthEast Bihar (India) was used for study. The Mathematics Attitude Scale, Mathematics Achievement Test and School Climate Scale were used for data collection, while t-test, F-test followed by Duncan's Mean Test and correlation techniques were used for statistical analysis. The results revealed that there was a significant difference between mathematics achievement of boys and girls. The results of analysis showed that the males hold more positive attitude towards mathematics, school climate than female students. Moreover the students of central government schools and private managed schools had higher mathematics achievement in comparison to minority managed schools and state government schools. Further this study showed a positive correlation of attitude towards mathematics and school climate with mathematics achievement.

The samples selected through random sampling method including 1000 students (533 urban and 467 rural students). The data collected were analyzed using SPSS package. The results of the study showed that gender had no significant effect on the academic achievement of secondary school students in Magadh region of Bihar. Further the result showed that location of school and medium of instructions had no significant effect on the academic achievement of secondary school students in Magadh region of Bihar.

The population of this study consists of 793 males and 334 females from 14 secondary schools of Central Uttar Pradesh (India). The Mathematics Achievement Test and A Personal and Familial Background assessment Questionnaire were used for data collection, while t-test used for statistical analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the male students as well as female students were equally good in mathematics achievement. In this study parental education is found to be an important factor of children achievement in math. Children from highly educated parents are likely to have significantly higher math achievement scores as compared to the children of less educated parents. A convenience sample of 500 school teachers, males and female from rural and urban private and government schools. The Job Satisfaction Scale by Meera Dixit and, Mental health check list by Pramod Kumar were used for data collection, while t-test, was used for statistical analysis. The results revealed that male and female primary teachers are almost similar on the measure of job satisfaction.. The results show that high mental health and low mental health primary school teachers are differ significantly on the measure of job satisfaction.. The analysis also showed that high mental health male and high mental health female primary school teachers are not differ significantly on the measure of job satisfaction. Further the results showed that low mental health male and low mental health female primary school teachers are not differ significantly on the measure of job satisfaction. The study consists of 520 male and 497 female students of fifty schools of Central U.P. The Socio Economic status made by R. L. Bharadwaj, school information questionnaire and school absenteeism schedule self made test were used for data collection. While t-test, correlation coefficient were used for statistical analysis. The result showed that male and female students had equal drop outs. Teacher's student relation gives more impact on student. If relation is good then potential Drop-out decreases and if relation is bad then chance of potential Drop-out increases.

A convenience sample of 2006 students, 1080 males and 926 female from twenty one schools of central U.P. was used for study. The Science Achievement Test and Personal and Environmental background assessment Questionnaire were used for data collection, while t-test, and correlation techniques were used for statistical analysis. The results revealed that there was a significant difference between science achievement of boys and girls. The results of analysis showed that the school types had not influenced science achievement of secondary school students the medium of instructions. Further this study showed that the exposure to media and time spent with Science homework had influenced the science achievement of secondary school students.
