This study investigated the relationship between intention to leave, job satisfaction, and nurses' burnout in Basra, Iraq. Methods: This cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted in three teaching hospitals in Basra from 2022-2023. The sample consisted of 238 nurses selected through convenience sampling. Data was collected using a demographic information form, intention to leave scale, Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ), Copenhagen Burnout Questionnaire (CBI), and 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12). Data was entered into SPSS 20 for analysis. Results: The mean scores for intention to leave, job satisfaction (MSQ), and burnout were 9.69 ± 4.50, 70.93 ± 13.74 and 64.14 ± 19.06, respectively. Job satisfaction had a negative coefficient of 0.021 on "intention to leave" (P < 0.001). Higher levels of burnout with a coefficient of-0.028 were associated with an increased intention to leave (P < 0.001). Conclusion: The nurses in the study expressed an intention to leave, and this issue was related to job satisfaction and burnout. Hospitals can enhance the overall quality of care by prioritizing job satisfaction, preventing burnout, and implementing strategies to retain nurses. Health policymakers should consider these factors in decision-making processes and take necessary measures to improve and promote them.

The aim of the current study was to determine the effect of implementing a continuous care model on self-care behavior in patients receiving HSCT between 2019 and 2020 in Shariati Hospital affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Materials and Methods: This semi-experimental study was conducted on 48 patients who were considered as candidates for HSCT at the Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant Research Center, Shariati Hospital. Participants for the present study were selected by the continuous care model based on the inclusion criteria. A 4-stage continuous care model (CCM) developed was used as an intervention in the study. A valid and reliable assessment questionnaire designed to measure the self-care beha...

An increase in the incidence and recurrence of BC has led to massive pressure on health care systems. Studies have shown that the geographical and ethical distributions of BC are variable in different parts of the world. However, most studies have focused more on clinical challenges and treatment strategies in BC management. Due to the limited number of studies conducted on the incidence rate, mortality and risk factors of BC worldwide, it is necessary to carry out studies in these areas. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the global incidence rate, mortality rate and risk factors for BC.

However, these patients experience many complications which might affect different aspects of their life. The aim of this study was to investigate the lived experience of patients after hematopoetic stem cell transplantation and introduce supportive care strategies. Materials and Methods: In this study, Van Manen’s Hermeneutic phenomenological approach was used. Eleven patients (7 males and 4 females) were chosen by targeted sampling from visitors of Shariati Hospital’s outpatient clinic. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and the final data were analyzed by MAXQDA 10 software. Results: Data analysis revealed that the main theme was resiliency with two sub-themes of “not surrendering to disease” and “feeling closer to God”. Conclusion: Participants declared that transplantation was like a second chance for life and considered t...
