We analyzed their design work and evaluated if they need a new structured method to provide a real image to understand what is going on in the companies, what they do, use, and how they answer this problem. Also, we proposed to them the method developed by [1], [2], that aims to integrate the human factors and ergonomics (HFE) from the early design phase, and represented in the survey. The objective is, first, to verify the availability of designers to use a new method to help them integrate HFE into their design process and, second, to improve the presented method based on the integration of Lean principles into the design process. The survey has been answered by more than 50 experts in engineering design, which represented companies in France, Germany, and internationally in different sectors of activity such as machinery and equipment, industrial materials, automotive equipment, and products, in which we found quite a few cases of interactions between humans and machines.

An integer linear programming model was developed. The aim was to find optimal routes in superspace based on performance-based navigation. The optimal routes were found from a DIJKSTRA algorithm that calculates the shortest path in a graph. Simulations with python language on real traffic areas showed the improvements brought by surface navigation. In this work, the conceptual phase and the upper airspace were studied.

Particularly in Senegal, the design of tools is generally done in a traditional way. Very often these tools suffer from reliability problems, modularity to facilitate their maintenance. Ergonomic problems are also encountered to adapt farming tools to the size, the age, and the morphology of users. Considering all these requirements in the design and modeling process would facilitate an evaluation of the behavioral performance of the future product. Most works deal with aspects related to functional criteria whereas behavior is rarely taken into account in the search for solutions. In this paper, we propose a design approach for innovative modular products, easily maintainable and adaptable to different user profiles. In order to evaluate the modularity, we propose a method of semantic modeling. The semantic model obtained makes it possible to identify innovative modular solution concepts by solving technical contradictions taking into account both the functional characteristics and the behavioral performances. As an illustration, a case study is outlined.

Nowadays, companies apply Lean tools to improve machines and systems performance in their use phase. Lean tools application on existing machines ensures some functionalities like (Reduce changeover time, eliminate wastes, Involve Human Skills, etc.). The purpose of this paper is to offer designers a design support method and tool to design a performant system (production system, machines, etc.) by integrating Lean functionalities from the early design phases, with a minimum of needs to improve the system in the use phase via Lean. The slots are specific allocated periods which allow an aircraft to land or take off in a saturated airport. Their attribution depends on theconfiguration of the airport, more particularly on its capacity. We maximize the confirmed demand in each slot and take the number of aircrafts and the number of manageable passengers with an optimal quality service into account. We used the CPLEX software so that to test the effectiveness of the linear model. Firstly, in the proposed model linear in integer numbers, any unmet demand was isolated. Such products are present in a very fast growing number of industrial products like mobile phones, digital cameras, high standing automobiles, aeronautics or NC machines. Some of these products are mass consumption items such as mobile phones that are characterized by a relatively short commercial lifetime. And then these products are renewed after a few months. Dealing with all this growing amount of wastes generated, is a crucial environmental problem that is becoming a worrying situation. This article proposes an approach aimed to lifecycle design for the recyclability of mass consumption mechatronic products. In this paper, we firstly describe and analyze the mechatronic products behavior from reliability and recyclability viewpoints. Then, we propose an approach for designing such products in order to fulfill recyclability requirements by using a knowledge-based design adviser module.
