It focuses on the initial design ideas that were brainstormed, user testing, and the final design of the system. Taking into account the different cultural groups and technology literacy levels, we determined that the voting device should be "tangible". We developed several different prototypes and user tested them to determine which design would be most effective. The resulting design was then developed along with a feedback component which utilizes a jumbotron.

In this project, we specifically investigated wireless router interfaces to understand the needs of users when they configure security. Two studies were conducted: a baseline study comparing the interfaces of two routers on the market and a study comparing a prototype and

The program has as its foundation a vision for why it is important to integrate HCI and design as a coherent research and learning enterprise in the multidisciplinary environment of an informatics school.
