We used monthly data for the period 1995 ÷ 2010. The US stock markets were correlated with all Asian stock markets and Japan was correlated least strongly with the other Asian markets. The VAR results show significant multilateral returns interactions among the markets. Overall, the results show that historical returns, either own or from other stock markets, help explain market current returns. This is in contrast to weak form efficiency. Additionally, we found a significant spillover effect from the US equity market to all 5 of the Asian markets. In block exogenity test we found that USA is the most exogenous. But the influence of the US on the stock markets of Japan is relatively weak.

Corporate governance includes supervising the company management, separating the economic units from its ownership and protecting investors' and benefiters' rights. The research goal is to assess the relation between some corporate governance mechanisms and stock profitability. The research independent variables are: institutional ownership, ownership concentration and board size. The stock return is dependent variable. The research statistical society includes all investors who have visited Tehran stock exchange to buy and sell shares in 2012. The sampling is done randomly. The data collection is done using field and library methods by distributing questionnaires among 130 stock investors. Finally, according to the collected data, the research hypotheses are assessed and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. The SPSS software is used to analyze the collected data.

This paper proposes an analytical model to study the operational and economic impacts of inventory record inaccuracy stemming from theft-type error in a continuousreview lost sale (s, Q) inventory system. The model builds on a Markovian inventory system and finds optimal safety stock and reorder quantity of product by minimizing the expected costs, which are composed of four components: inventory holding cost, production cost, ordering cost, and lost sales cost. This production-inventory model is analyzed across two scenarios depending on which technology is deployed to optimize replenishment decisions: (1) barcode technology and (2) radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Our numerical analysis illustrates the solution procedure and the effects of the model parameters on the inventory replenishment decisions and total costs.

The highly rotating flow field structure and its characteristic are simulated and analyzed with respect to various operating inlet pressure ranges. Numerical results of compressible and turbulent flows are derived by using of the standard k-? turbulence model, where throughout the vortex tube was taken as a computational domain. The main object of the present research is to focus on the importance of identifying the suitable inlet gas pressure corresponds to used vortex tube geometry. Achieving a highly swirling flow and consequently maximum cold temperature difference were the key parameters of judgment. The results revealed that these acceptable conditions of machine performance can be provided when the inlet operating pressure is appropriate both to mechanical structure of machine and physical properties of working fluid. The numerical models use the k-? turbulence model to simulate an axisymmetric computational domain along with periodic boundary conditions. The present research has focused on the energy separation and flow field behavior of a vortex tube by utilizing both straight and helical nozzles. Three kinds of nozzles set include of 3 and 6 straight and 3 helical nozzles have been investigated and their principal effects as cold temperature difference was compared. The studied vortex tubes dimensions are kept the same for all models. The numerical values of hot and cold outlet temperature differences indicate the considerable operating role of helical nozzles, even a few numbers of that in comparing with straight nozzles. The results showed that this type of nozzles causes to form higher swirl velocity in the vortex chamber...

In order to tackle the area cost this paper examines using a Static and Single-ended Logic (SSL) for designing gates and registers which are resistant against power analysis. Current-Balanced Logic (CBL) is chosen and an empirical analysis is conducted for evaluating the effectiveness of CBL in a test chip fabricated in 0.18µm CMOS process. The increased resistance obtained by CBL requires significantly less area than the previously reported logic level countermeasures. No complex layout methodology as the one used for DDL is needed for implementation of CBL. The results presented in this paper are important for providing resistance against power analysis for area-constrained applications with no battery operated supply.

Companies create official fan pages on social network websites to provide customers with information about their brands, products, promotions, and more. Customers can become fans of these pages, like, reply, share or mark the brand post as favorite. Marketing departments are using these activities to crowdsource marketing and increase brand awareness and popularity. Understanding how crowdsourcing oriented marketing and promotion evolves would be helpful in managing such campaigns. In this paper, we adapt a multidimensional point process methodology to study crowd engagement activities and interactions. Specifically, we investigate the brand post popularity as a joint probability function of time and number of followers. One-dimensional and two-dimensional Hawkes point process models are calibrated to simulate popularity growth patterns of brand post contents on Twitter. Our results suggest that the two-dimensional point process model provides a good model for understanding such crowdsourcing behavior.

While in many cases this is a perfectly valid phenomenon, there are also many cases where rank should be preserved. This paper deals with rank reversal due to the inconsistency of the inputs. The preference intensities on REMBRANDT scale are more compatible than AHP scale. The REMBRANDT system is therefore proposed to avoid rank reversal phenomenon. We have provided a practical example to show that the rank reversal phenomenon did not occur with the REMBRANDT system, but did occur with the Wang and Elhag approach.
