This paper hopes to give a strategy to proper implementation of various E Governance initiatives in India. It emphasizes establishment of various institutions for E-Governance especially, the School of E-Governance. The paper suggests the establishment of following state of art institutions. The World Bank defines “e-governance” as the use of information and communication technologies by government agencies to transform relations with citizens, business and other arms of the government. It is the information technology that has added a new dimension of governance. E-governance is a kind of ‘window of opportunity’ facilitating a much faster, convenient, transparent and dynamic interaction between the government and its people. Therefore the e-governance should be viewed as an ongoing process subjected to rapid changes based on experiences, developments and policy setting.
