The effect of cadmium (Cd2+) substituted at the NiFe2O4 nano materials were this nano material sy... more The effect of cadmium (Cd2+) substituted at the NiFe2O4 nano materials were this nano material synthesized by auto-combustion technique. The structural analysis confirms that the samples are polycrystalline nature with spinel cubic crystal symmetry. The effect of Cd2+ contains on lattice constants which obeys Vegard's law. The morphological analysis shows that the highly porous structure with spongy like surface morphology. The observed absorption infrared spectra confirm that the exhibits the nano ferrite materials. The magnetic properties measurements reveal that the saturation of magnetization decreases with an increase in constituent Cd2+ in nickel ferrous oxide. The Cd2+ ions present in A-site and Fe3+ are distributed in both tetrahedral and octahedral sites of spinel lattice. The DC measurement shows that the semiconducting behaviour of the prepared Ni1-xCdxFe2O4. The increase in Cd2+ constituent in the nickel ferrite with decrease curie temperature. Electrodeposition techniques is used for the deposition of nickel oxide thin film electrodes. In ... more Electrodeposition techniques is used for the deposition of nickel oxide thin film electrodes. In the present work, we report electrodeposition of nickel oxide thin film on the conducting stainless steel (SS) substrates for the application of electrochemical supercapacitor. X-ray diffraction confirms simple cubic crystal structure with polycrystalline nature of the deposited NiO sample that exhibits hydrophilic nature confirmed from the wettability study. The Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) observed dense with cracky morphology. UV spectrum exhibits 3.55eV band gap of samples. The capacitive characteristics of the deposited thin film are investigated in 1M KOH electrolyte using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The supercapacitive properties of NiO are strongly affected by the scan rate. The maximum specific capacitance obtained is 162 F/g at 2 mV/s scan rate.

Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) electrodes were prepared on conductive stainless still (SS) substrate using ... more Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) electrodes were prepared on conductive stainless still (SS) substrate using cobalt nitrate as a cobalt source by implementing simple and cost-effective chemical electrodeposition method and here, characterized for structural and electrochemical analysis for supercapacitor applications. The effect of different deposition potential on capacitance and charging-discharging stability of cobalt oxide electrode were studied. X-ray diffractions confirms the face centered cubic crystal structure of Co3O4 electrodes. Electrochemical capacitive analysis of cobalt oxide electrode was studied in 1MKOH aqueous electrolyte solution. The observed maximum specific capacitance attained with cobalt oxide was 273.3 F/g at scan rate 5mV/s. The observed specific power, specific energy and coulomb efficiency were 12.12W/kg, 74.75 Wh/kg, and 99.63%, respectively. The cycling stability of the cobalt oxides shows 62% up to 500 cycles.

Some researchers focus on the binary as well as ternary metal oxides and more metal oxide complex composite materials used for the supercapacitors. In the review article focused on the effect of different metals doped in a nickel oxide nano material on the electrochemical capacitive performance, discussion on methodologies, charge storage mechanism, latest research articles and prepared nanostructures. Nowadays nickel oxide is developing electrode material for storage of charge due to its higher thermal stability, excellent chemical stability, cost effective materials, higher theoretical values of specific capacitance, naturally rich and environment friendliness material.
