carried out between September 2013 and October 2014. The study was designed to support the wider BRIDGIT project, involving CEN, CENELEC and nine National Standardization
Organizations, which is aimed at 'bridging the gap' between standardization, research and
innovation.
The objective of the research study was “to show, based on concrete data and evidence, the benefits and role of standards in supporting and driving research and innovation”. It therefore addresses both standardization and standards as an output of research and innovation as well
as a supporting infrastructure for research and innovation.
