In this study, the synthesis of α-Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles was performed by a simple co-precipitation method. The synthesis of α-Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles was carried out by mixing ferric nitrate and oxalic acid in an aqueous solution followed by evaporation, resulting in the solution's dried form. The synthesized nanoparticles were analyzed by XRD, FTIR, Raman spectra, SEM-EDX, DSC, BET, and Zeta potential for detailed examination of the morphology, structure, and other physicochemical characteristics. The XRD results confirmed that the nanoparticles formed were Hematite (α-Fe 2 O 3) after the evaluation of obtained spectra compared to the Joint Committee on Powder Diffraction Standards Database (JCPDS). The FTIR spectra showed various bonds among functional groups, O-H bending, Fe-O group, and within-vibration bonds. The phase study of the α-Fe 2 O 3 nanoparticles was performed by using Raman spectroscopy. SEM depicted a sphere-like or rhombohedral (hexagonal) structure, and the EDX spectrum confirmed the peaks of iron and oxygen.

The rate-limiting step in the formation of long chain fatty acids of all organisms is the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to form malonyl-CoA, which is catalyzed by the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC-α; E.C.6 • 4 • 1 • 2; Wakil et al. 1983). SNP in the Exon-5 of ACACA gene are reported to be associated with milk fat yield in dairy cattle. In the present study a 253 bp region of buffalo ACACA gene was PCR amplified. Genomic DNA was isolated from the venous blood of buffalo. Using PCR primers designed from the sequence of ACACA gene sequence in cattle a 253 bp region was amplified as a distinct and specific band. The PCR product was digested with restriction enzyme Cfr1to yield 2 fragments of sizes 207, 46 bp. The size of the PCR product in comparable to that in cattle and encompasses Exon-5 of the gene. The sizes of Cfr1digestion are also in accordance to the restriction map of ...

The role of nanotechnology in medicines and more specifically in drug delivery is well explored. ... more The role of nanotechnology in medicines and more specifically in drug delivery is well explored. Nanomedicine is the medical application of a broad range of materials and devices on the nanoscale so as to assess, preserve, and restore health and well-being. It takes advantage of nanoscale formulations to optimize drug delivery and to facilitate noninvasive imaging. Currently many substances are under investigation for drug delivery in cancer therapy and brain targeted delivery. In spite of many advantages, toxicological effects of nanoparticulate matters must not be neglected and more investigation is required in this area for potential use of nanoparticals in medicines. Proper set of safety guidelines must be prepared by regulatory agencies for proper use of nanoparitcles in medicines and diagnostics. The paper provide an overview on the some of the currently used systems in drug delivery and diagnostics. In brief nanomedicine in future would play a crucial role in the treatment of...
