But with the exponential growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices and massive amounts of private data in the network, the centralized and conventional architecture of cloud computing has become a bottleneck because of limited bandwidth and resources. At the same time security is also an open concern for cloud computing. Hence, Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is an extended architecture of cloud computing that enables data processing and storing at the edge of mobile networks. The importance of a routine health check-up for elderly patients, as well as the documentation of... more The importance of a routine health check-up for elderly patients, as well as the documentation of that check- up, cannot be overstated. Maintaining adequate documentation for a patient by himself or by his attendance, on the other hand, is extremely difficult. This paper primarily focuses on developing a framework that includes a smartphone application and introduces a real-time remote monitoring system for basic medical treatment of an elderly patient. It can keep track of a patient’s emergency contacts. Using the SMS manager API, emergency contacts can receive messages with the patient’s daily health alerts. Furthermore, the system will keep track of the patient’s symptoms, and if anything goes wrong for a continuous period of time, the system will automatically send out reminders to schedule medical appointments. For medical appointments, a patient may be able to search for nearest doctors and schedule an appointment for him via the system. Here, Google map technology is used to ...

For visually challenged people, getting from one place to another is one of the most challenging ... more For visually challenged people, getting from one place to another is one of the most challenging jobs. Whether going indoors or outside, they typically require help from humankind. The lives of visually impaired persons are made more difficult by the environment's inadequate conditions. To overcome such hazards as hitting with obstacles, holes, stairs, or slipping on wet ground, a blind person must always be alert. In the event of an emergency, they might have to send an alarm message to their family or friends who are close by. In light of the preceding, we have addressed all of these difficulties in this study and provided a solution to help visually challenged people live freely. The ultrasonic sensor in our system helps blind people to notice obstacles such as holes and stairwells, while a water sensor detects water. The smart stick's buzzer goes off when any hindrance is recognized. The GPS and GSM components in our framework assist the users in determining the precise location of the smart stick. An Arduino UNO is used to control the device in this setup. The smart stick that has been recommended is a low- cost device that responds quickly, is simple to use, and consumes minimal energy.

Therefore, edge computing has become an emerging technology nowadays that enables data processing and storing at the edge of networks. Instead of having some unique features (distributed architecture, parallel processing, mobility support, location awareness, proximity, and low latency) privacy and security have become an open concern for edge computing. This paper presents a comprehensive review in terms of the characteristics, architecture, and applications of edge computing. Also, some of the most recent security threats, mechanisms for avoiding these threats are highlighted with proper detail. Finally, we conclude our review analyzing some open issues and challenges in the field of edge computing.

Our general public is supported by this massive sector, which does not be as appealing as banking or medical facilities. More importantly, it has a slew of issues that need to be addressed right away. With the use of information technologies, we expect the agricultural sector can become more secure, transparent, trustworthy, and constructive. The proposed model combines AI, IoT, and Blockchain to develop a smart and futuristic agricultural system that provides farmers with a secure and open transaction approach to rich, new, and effective decision support that can specifically create the scope of greater agricultural process productivity and help farmers maximize their benefits. And we believe that the agricultural sector will benefit from the benefits of information technology.
