The aforementioned method is unique for the machining allowance, which is treated as the weld bead height and is removed in one step with one pass of the cutting tool. The tool is equipped on one side with linearly arranged tooth-shaped cutting elements, with the adjacent teeth height changing and increasing according to the direction of the feed. The non-standard geometry of the cutting tool enables the finishing of a heterogeneous post-weld surface with increased hardness. The results of studying the 2D profile parameters and the 3D stereometric characteristics of the surface roughness using the optical method are presented in the article. Test samples were made of S235JR steel and butt welded with the MMA, MIG, and TIG methods. Subsequently, the welding bead was ground and finished in accordance with the innovative method to flush ...

For research purposes, a proprietary low-pressure reactor with a system of direct cooling of hydrocarbon vapors was used. The main advantages of the presented method are the limitation of technological processes to a minimum and the ease of automation by reducing the entire cycle to one device.

The use of modern computer-aided design systems CAD allows partial automation of such processes. The parametric model can be built in some CAD systems. In the parametric model, selected dimensions are treated as control parameters. By changing the values of these parameters, we can control the remaining geometrical dimensions of the model. These dimensions can be associated with linear control parameters using mathematical relationships. Parameterization allows you to associate a geometric model with a mathematical model and allows you to automatically make changes to all elements associated with the currently modified parameter. When working on a non-parameterized model, the changes in the modelled object must be applied separately for each part and subassembly of which it is composed. In a parametric model, changing one parameter entails changes in other param...

The quantities of products, their packaging and, consequently, the amount of synthetic polymer waste are steadily increasing, what poses a high risk to the environment due to their long decomposition time. To reduce waste production is practically impossible, therefore it is very important to constantly implement new and improve existing methods of waste treatment. The following article presents one of the alternative methods for synthetic polymer waste treatment, which is low-temperature pyrolysis. Two pyrolysis processes were carried out. During the first experiment a polyethylene plastic material was used, in the second experiment a mixture of typical household recycling waste of codes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were tested. During the thermal processing, the input material undergoes a chemical transformation due to breaking of long hydrocarbon chains. At the same time, hig...
