Design/methodology/approach: This empirical study focuses on the quantitative analysis of data collected from MSMEs operating in technology parks in Poland. The study sample was composed of 182 enterprises. The two methods used for performing quantitative empirical research are: CAWI and PAPI. The conceptual framework for this research was a theory of dynamic capabilities. Findings: This study's findings show that learning orientation is undoubtedly surveyed a MSMEs characteristic. This suggests that learning orientation is a universal phenomenon as it has features of different sizes of enterprises. Secondly, it was empirically proven that the way MSMEs were functioning in the market was neither radical nor conservative. These enterprises were rational to seek out and replace obsolete mental models. At the same time, most of them were operating in stable or moderately dynamic markets rather than in turbulent and uncertain environments. The other ones were operating in environments with slightly higher or lower volatility and uncertainty. Lastly, it was shown that the firm performance level is related to the number of employees. These findings are an argument for treating the number of employees as a non-financial measure of organisation's development. Research implications: Replications and extensions of the current study should be directed to investigate the indirect effect of learning orientation on firm performance via moderating variable (i.e. market dynamism). At the same time, the size of enterprises may be taken into account as a control variable, for example, in the analysis of the relationship between learning orientation and firm performance. Originality/value: The research shows that LO is not a dichotomous resource.

The growing environmental problems associated with the dumping of large amounts of textile waste ... more The growing environmental problems associated with the dumping of large amounts of textile waste and the demand for circular products are prompting textile waste recycling enterprises to develop circular business models (CBMs). This implies a radical change in the way some enterprises operate to obtain growth. Considering the importance of the drivers of and barriers for the adoption and implementation of CBMs in the textile recycling sector, it is claimed that the comprehension of these factors to CBMs is limited and deserves more attention in empirical research. Therefore, our research investigates the antecedents of circular business models in the textile recycling sector by highlighting influencing factors. The aim of the article is to explore the main enhancing and inhibiting factors in the development of circular business models on the example of a large enterprise operating for 30 years in the textile recycling sector. In this study, a case study design of mixed methods, incl...

Drugą grupę artykułów stanowi sześć prac dotyczących bezpieczeństwa, przedsiębiorczości i konkurencyjności organizacji. Wyniki zaprezentowanych badań mogą stanowić podstawę do stawiania dalszych pytań, studiów i efektywnych rozwiązań

This includes the identification of individual types and components of trust impacting the knowledge exchange between intellectual workers, as seen from the perspective of knowledge agent groups involved in its circulation, and in subprocesses constituting the transfer of knowledge, as well as in generation of specialists. Design/Methodology/Approach: The procedure for obtaining empirical data consisted of three stages: the direct semi-structured individual interview, focus group online interviews (FIGO), computer assisted telephone interview (CATI) and computer-assisted web interview (CAWI). The hypotheses were tested with a test of significance for Spearman's rank-order correlation coefficient and the Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test. Findings: Trust is a factor in knowledge diffusion among intellectual workers and its importance depends on the groups of knowledge agents participating in it. Trust is most important in the exchange of knowledge among professionals, then in the circulation of knowledge between specialists and co-operators, and the least importantin the dispersion of knowledge between knowledge workers and the organization's personnel. Regardless of the group participating in the circulation of knowledge, the foundation of trust is competence-based trust, supported by benevolence-based trust. Practical Implications: The presented considerations provide specific indications as to which components of trust to develop due to the sub process of knowledge diffusion, and knowledge agents involved in the circulation. Originality/Value: This study's main contribution is filling the existing research gap regarding the impact of trust on the flow of intellectual workers' knowledge. The work has theoretical and practical contribution to research on the diffusion of professional knowledge. It organizes the theory and formulates practical guidelines for the formation of trust as a factor of knowledge dispersion.

Under this model of evolution, the layers surrounding the technological aspects are first, knowledge management (in particular, its transfer), and then people, and culture. This study addresses two of the three identified levels by attempting to verify the organizational culture that supports professional knowledge transfer as the leading factor in effective specialist knowledge exchange in the energy sector. Recently, this sector has become highly dependent on IT solutions as the main factor for its development and security. A key role in this respect is played by IT professionals, whose attitudes and employee behavior are critical to the stability, efficiency, effectiveness, and security of IT systems in the energy companies. The purpose of this paper is to pro...

Kapitał intelektualny organizacji stanowi sumę jej kapitału ludzkiego (talenty, zdolności i wiedza pracowników), kapitału strukturalnego (patenty, procesy, bazy danych, infrastruktura informatyczna) i kapitału klienckiego (związki z klientami i dostawcami). Omówiono proces zarządzania kapitałem intelektualnym firmy.
