The approach will use Evolutionary Algorithms (EA), combined with Multicriteria analysis. The quality of EA solutions will be evaluated through the comparison, with the ones, obtained from Simplex method. The EA robustness to the change of its parameters, will also be evaluated, as well as the influence of the objective function on its behavior. The approach can provide the consumer with several and different efficient solutions, with less time than Simplex. It is also possible to improve the obtained solutions, by choosing adequately the EA's control parameters, as well the problem formulation.

In the healthcare field, Maturity Models have also been used to deal with the enormous complexity and demand of Hospital Information Systems. This article presents a research project that aimed to develop a new comprehensive model of maturity for a health area. HISMM (Hospital Information System Maturity Model) was developed to address a complexity of SIH and intends to offer a useful tool for the demanding role of its management. The HISMM has the peculiarity of congregating a set of key maturity Influence Factors and respective characteristics, enabling not only the assessment of the global maturity of a HIS but also the individual maturity of its different dimensions. In this article, we present the methodology for the development of Maturity Models adopted for the creation of HISMM and the underlying reasons for its choice.

Additionally, each appliance, presents very different features, leading to some difficulties on its choice by the consumer (decision-agent).

It could be used on changing trends or the rhythm of the game, and also on providing relevant information to the players. So, it may have an important effect in sporting success. The main objective of the research was to analyse the use of timeouts (TO) in U-19 male volleyball teams, as well as the effect of the game on then, depending on the match score (winning-balanced, or losing). 171 timeouts, requested by coaches of the 21 teams participating in the U-19 male Spanish Championship 2012, were analysed. The variables considered in this study were: match score (TO requested when winning-balanced score or when losing); score difference (0-1 points, 2-3 points, 4 or more points); lost rallies (0-1 rallies, 2 rallies, ≥ 3 rallies); game period (initial moment of the set, final moment of the set); timeout effect (positive timeout effect and time out with no effect). The results showed that variables significantly associated with the TO request with different score (winning-balanced, losing) were: score difference, game period and timeout effect. Specifically, contributed positively to the association: TO request with winning-balanced score with the score difference of 0-1 points, with the final moments of the set and with the positive timeout effect; TO request with a losing score with the score difference of 4 or more points, in the initial moments of the set and with no effect of the timeout. This results could be taken into account in the process of team management in competition, in volleyball formative stages.

Research paper thumbnail of A Decision Support Approach to Provide Sustainable Solutions to the Consumer, by Using Electrical Appliances

This becomes even more relevant, by knowing that nowadays a consumer tries to get a solution from the market, with a good compromise between the economic, social and environmental dimensions, and according to its priorities and specific needs, which can be different from other consumers. By adopting a multicriteria approach, combined with an optimization technique, based on evolutionary algorithms (EA), it will be possible to provide a set of sustainable solutions from the market to the consumer, that respects the compromise referred before. In this work, it will be presented an approach to support a decision-agent (DA) (consumer), by performing a set of sustainable choices based on electrical appliances, from the ma...

We sought to identify through a questionnaire the perceptions of teachers and Guardians regarding the adoption of an EB. Both groups stressed the importance of communication between school and family and expressed interest in the EB as a communication tool.

The survey was conducted in a conservation area of Caatinga in FATEC campus Hinterland Central, Quixeramobim-Ceará. It was found that the white jitirana presented a wide range of floral visitors' hymenoptera, beetles, true bugs, flies, and birds. The order Hymenoptera was the most present with Africanized honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) representing approximately 90% of visits observed.

We demonstrate the soundness of HMMs to solve the problem of robot localization in a topological model of the environment, particularly the kidnapped robot problem and position tracking. In this approach, the environment topology is described by the sequence of movements a robot executes when contouring the environment. Movements are described in a fuzzy domain using distance traveled and curvature as features.
