Aims and objectives: The basic aim of this research work is to analyze the different outcomes of early pars plana vitrectomy for acute post-operative endophthalmitis. Material and methods: This descriptive study was conducted in Foundation University Medical College, Islamabad during March 2018 to December 2018. The data was collected from 100 patients with acute post-operative endophthalmitis. Patients demographic studies included age, sex, place of trauma, mechanism of injury, the location and size of corneal perforation or scleral perforation, with or without uveal prolapse, entry and location of IOFB, time between injury and repair, and initial and final best corrected visual acuity. Results: All the collected data were analysed and find out the results. Four clinic factors associated with better postop BCVA were identified by univariate analysis (Table 2). Time between trauma and initial treatment less than 12 hrs, time between trauma and PPV treatment less than 24 hrs, laceration length less than 10 mm, and presenting VA better than LP were statistically significant factors which could result in better BCVA, while gender and the perforation position were not significant factors. Those cases kept stable intraocular structure and retinal detachment after removal of silicone oil at the end of the follow-up. Conclusion: It is concluded that the better visual acuity prognosis postoperatively could benefit from prompt vitrectomy treatment, isolation of non-virulent microorganisms, shorter length of laceration, better presenting visual acuity, and the use of silicone oil or removing the lens if necessary.

The data have been taken from 9 major sectors (52 listed firms in the Karachi Stock Exchange) namely; Pharmaceutical & Bio Technology, Textile, Sugar, Tobacco, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Fixed line Telecommunication, Industrial metal and Mining, and Cement sectors for the time period 2004 to 2010 on annual basis. Multiple regression analysis has been done to examine the relationship among firm’s size, dividend payout ratio, firm’s age, and investment. The empirical findings show that there is positive relationship between the firms’ size and investment while a negative relationship exists between firms’ age and investment. It also reports that there is negative relationship between dividend payout ratio and the investment. This shows that if a firm grows old or high dividend payout ratio then it will tend to spend less for expansion as compared to the young firms.

The ground state stability of CsEuCl 3 was tested among non-magnetic, ferromagnetic, and anti-ferromagnetic phases. It was found that CsEuCl 3 is stable in ferromagnetic phase. The computed ground state structural parameters in stability phase show excellent agreement with the available literature. The spin-polarized electronic properties reveal that CsEuCl 3 is a direct band gap semiconductor in spin-up channel and large indirect band semiconductor in spin-down states. So, the overall nature of CsEuCl 3 is semiconductor. The computed magnetic properties show that the main contribution toward ferromagnetic nature of studied compound is from the Eu atom. The calculated optical properties indicated the usefulness of CsEuCl 3 in devices working in visible and ultraviolet regions of electromagnetic spectrum.
