The hallmarks of a frontal sinus fracture are a frontal depression in the anterior table of the bone. Additionally, clear fluid leaking from the nose may indicate that fractures to the posterior table have torn into the dura mater, creating a cerebrospinal fluid leak. Total 20 cases of the patients undergoing the surgery for frontal sinus injuries were evaluated in the present study was planned in Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital. The patients were divided in two groups. Group A includes the 10 cases in which care was taken in first 10 days. Group B includes the 10 cases in which care was taken after 10 days. The data generated from the present study concludes that fractures of the frontal sinuses are more and more frequent and serious. They involve the vital, functional and aestheti...

During orthodontic tooth movement the early response of periodontal tissues to mechanical stress is an acute inflammatory reaction. Mechanical stress from orthodontic appliances is believed to induce cells in the periodontal ligament (PDL) to form biologically active substances, such as enzymes and cytokines, responsible for connective tissue remodeling. Biochemical analysis of the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) has provided a non-invasive model for investigating the cellular response of the underlying PDL during orthodontic tooth movement in vivo. In GCF, several substances such as interleukin, tumor necrosis factor, leptin, osteoprotegerin and alkaline phosphatase have been found to be significantly elevated in teeth under orthodontic forces compared with untreated control teeth. [14] Hence due to the above relevance the present study was planned for Assessment of Lept...

In the wake of this, cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have emerged as an alternative to traditional ERPs. These systems require low upfront investments and can rapidly be deployed, as they are provided over the cloud. In this study we seek to unravel cloud ERP adoption by identifying and classifying opportunities and concerns often associated with cloud ERPs with respect to company size. Our results show that SMEs, and in particular small companies, can best exploit cloud ERPs as many of the benefits are more relevant for them. ERP implementation and its critical issues, success factors and implementation problems have been investigated in the past but they are not filtered comprehensively in terms of the selection of the best CSPs. This paper presents a new feature based taxonomy which facilitates the process of cloud product selection by prioritization. ...

Point-to-point monitoring of electrical parameters using synchrophasor technique and inheriting the differential protection in digital relay improve the protection of system. Differential protection involves communication wires or communication band channels. With the improvement of GPS and communication technology day by day, measurement through PMU is also enhanced by enabling protection of transmission line and cables by synchrophasor-based digital relay. Algorithms that are step-by-step methodology need to develop solution here; in this chapter, algorithm for synchrophasor-enabled relay is discussed as for each operation different algorithms are required, so was here different algorithms, and there perception to digital protection was taken. The behavior of the measured phasor is between the 1 PPS point and the response. Non-steady-state (transient) conditions will vary with the algorithms used.

To move in the direction of a precise theory of architecture, this thesis will provide some concrete tools to analyze and design complex systems with a given network structure. The first main result of this thesis analyzes the vulnerability of a system and shows that a system’s vulnerability depends on its network structure. We will consider destabilization attacks acting on a single link in a system’s logical interconnection structure. The concept of a vulnerable link is characterized, and necessary and sufficient conditions for identifying these links are provided. The vulnerability of various system architectures are then characterized by the vulnerability of their weakest link, and it is shown that every...

Tuberculosis (TB) is still the leading cause of death from a single and curable infectious disease. It is the second-most common cause of death from infectious disease (after those due to HIV/AIDS). Its situation is worsened by the presence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains of M. tuberculosis. In ancient time, it was considered a curse. Tuberculosis started to reemerge in the early 1990s. The completion of the first whole genome sequence of M. tuberculosis was in 1998. Multi drug resistant (MDR)-TB is caused by strains of M. tuberculosis that resistant to at least rifampicin and isoniazid. Worldwide India is the country with the highest-burden of both TB and MDR-TB. Isolation of MTB on solid media followed by subsequent DST on solid media is easy to perform in the lab. They are time-consuming classical laboratory tests methods. So the molecular method is preferable to detect MTB. Different types of tool are available to d...

This partial-structure representation, called the dynamical structure function, characterizes the signal structure, or open-loop causal dependencies among manifest variables, capturing a significantly richer notion of structure than the sparsity pattern of the transfer function. The design technique sequentially constructs each link in an arbitrary controller signal structure, and the main result proves that the resulting controller is either stabilizing or no controller with the desired structure can stabilize the system.

The phenomenon of this conversion of light energy into electrical energy is termed as Photovoltaic effect. The aim of this study is to develop a model for photovoltaic module based on mathematical expression. The conventional single diode model for solar cell with series and shunt resistance is used for illustration. The effect of change in environmental condition like irradiance and temperature on output of photovoltaic module is shown, the effect of physical parameter variation such as shunt and series resistance is also consider. The characteristic of proposed model is compared with the reference photovoltaic module. The 250 watt photovoltaic module manufactured by Tata solar power is used as reference. The large solar array system can be modeled and simulate using this model. Simulation was performed at any and all step using MATLAB/ Simulink software.

As mentioned in the discussion, there was a significant difference between initial age and sex distribution in the groups because tooth development is closely related to age and happens earlier in female patients. There was also a significant difference between overjet reduction or later discussed apex movements, showing that the immature tooth group had more incisor torque changes or bodily movement, but more interestingly, the conclusion showed that the immature tooth group had less root resorption, indicating that the immature teeth can resist the root resorption. According to Xu and Baumrind, 1 the root grows 0.18 mm per year in the patients aged 10-13 years. There were some patients aged 10-13 years in the mature tooth group; hence, we added 0.18 mm per year to the amount of root resorption in these patients. Moreover, even though the apex closes in the mature tooth group, there still exists a little more root development after the apex closure, which is proved by our next accepted article "Notch signaling inhibition protects against root resorption in experimental immature tooth movement" in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. 2

The main routes of transmission of nosocomial infections are contact, airborne, common vehicle and vector borne. Common infections are urinary tract infections (UTI), surgical and soft tissue infections, gastroenteritis, meningitis and respiratory infections. The agents that are usually involved in hospital acquired infections are Streptococcus sp., Acinetobacter sp., Enterococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Coagulase negative Staphylococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Legionella and Enterobacteriaceae family members including Proteus mirablis, Klebsiella pneumonia, Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens. Out of these Enterococci, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus and E. coli have a major role. Various infection control programmes and organizations help to lower the risk of an infection during and after the period of hospitalization.

It is generally seen in males and presents with gastrointestinal symptoms due to mesenteric ischemia. However, asymptomatic cases are increasingly being diagnosed due to increased use of computed tomography (CT) angiography. The course is usually self-limiting, and conservative management with bowel rest, strict blood pressure control, anticoagulants, sedatives for pain, and close observation usually suffices. Surgery or endovascular stenting is usually reserved for those exhibiting bowel ischemia or impending rupture. We report a case of a young female with isolated spontaneous mesenteric artery dissection with thrombus, which did not improve with medical therapy and was managed promptly by surgery due to the presence of bowel ischemia.

A long treatment period that involves the wearing of a temporary prosthesis may be of great inconvenience, and is sometimes the reason for not choosing implant-supported restorations at all. Aim: In our study, an attempt was made to immediately load single tooth implants in the aesthetic zone of the dentition. Materials and Methods: Patients were selected from Government Dental College, Patna. Twenty-four single tooth implants were placed in 24 patients; 12 male and 12 female patients desiring replacement of one or more missing teeth in anterior region were selected. Surgery for the placement of the implant was carried out, and implants of the Uniti Implant System were placed. The abutment was then attached and the flap was sutured. A temporary acrylic resin crown was fabricated and cemented on the same day. Permanent prosthesis was inserted on sixth month after implant placement. Results: A clinical study was performed to evaluate the treatment outcomes of dental implants installed according to a one-stage surgical procedure followed by immediate loading with prosthesis. Of the 24 implants, 23 showed signs of successful osseointegration over a 1-year follow-up. Conclusion: Within limits of the evaluated data, it was observed that immediately loaded implants osseointegrate, so this alternative was used over conventional procedures that take 6 months for osseointegration. This has advantages, both for patient and practitioner.

We address the problem of optimal routing in overlay networks. An overlay network is constructed ... more We address the problem of optimal routing in overlay networks. An overlay network is constructed by adding new overlay nodes on top of a legacy network. The overlay nodes are capable of implementing any dynamic routing policy, however, the legacy underlay has a fixed, single path routing scheme and uses a simple work-conserving forwarding policy. Moreover, the underlay routes are predetermined and unknown to the overlay network. The overlay network can increase the achievable throughput of the underlay by using multiple routes, which consist of direct routes and indirect routes through other overlay nodes. We develop a throughput optimal dynamic routing algorithm for such overlay networks called the Optimal Overlay Routing Policy (OORP). OORP is derived using the classical dual subgradient descent method, and it can be implemented in a distributed manner. We show that the underlay queue-lengths can be used as a substitute for the dual variables. We also propose various schemes to gather the information about the underlay that is required by OORP and compare their performance via extensive simulations.
