Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh good corporate governance, rasio keuangan da... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh good corporate governance, rasio keuangan dan cash position terhadap kebijakan dividen. Variabel good corporate governance yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional. Variabel rasio keuangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain profitabilitas (ROA), likuiditas (CR) dan leverage (DER). Sampel penelitiaan ini terdiri dari 18 perusahaan manufaktur yag terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2006-2011. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari annual report. Teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda yang tujuannya untuk menduga besarnya koefisien regresi yang nantinya akan menunjukan besarnya pengaruh good corporate governance, rasio keuangan dan cash position baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap kebijakan dividen. This study aims to reveal the strategies of rice wholesalers in determining the right business lo... more This study aims to reveal the strategies of rice wholesalers in determining the right business location according to the cardinal directions to meet consumer needs. Choosing the right location will have an impact on the development of the business. The method uses qualitative method and phenomenological approach, where the researcher explores the high and deep meaning of events or phenomena applied by the contractors in choosing a business location. The result proves the contractors choose the location based on the belief in the wind direction which is adjusted to the Java market day which is difficult to accept logically. Furthermore the choice of business location is based on magical beliefs. The contractor believes that the wind direction that is adjusted to certain days and markets is special and will generate profits used for business activities.

This research aims to understand the method for determining price which is applied by jenang (mix... more This research aims to understand the method for determining price which is applied by jenang (mixed porridge) seller in Ngembul Village Binangun District in Blitar City. Therefore, by using this method which is acceptable with the particular price and does not effect for losing the profit of seller as well as it can be competitive in the market. The method uses qualitative approach and focused on phenomenology. The researcher analyzes the data, ways, attitude and phenomena which are obtained from the object studied (mixed porridge) seller. The result of this study shows that the seller determines the price by using entong (special spoon for taking the porridge). The seller thinks that from all tolls, the entong is the best spoon used to fill all the kinds of the expenditures. Although, there are some differences of each spoons that are applied, but those are not the big problems for the seller and the buyer because it’s differences are not too much.

This study attempts to make a model and optimize the complicated Electrical Discharge Machining ... more This study attempts to make a model and optimize the complicated Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) process using soft computing techniques. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with back propagation algorithm is used to model the process. In this study, the machining parameters, namely pulse current, on time, off time and gap voltage are optimized with considerations of multiple performance characteristics such as Metal Removal Rate (MRR) and surface roughness. As the output parameters are conflicting in nature so there is no single combination of cutting parameters, which provides the best machining performance. Genetic Algorithm (GA) with properly defined objective functions was then adapted to the neural network to determine the optimal multiple performance characteristics. Abstrak Pada penelitian ini mencoba untuk membuat model dan mengoptimalkan proses yang rumit pada Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) menggunakan teknik komputasi. Jaringan Saraf Tiruan (JST) dengan algoritma propagasi kembali digunakan untuk memodelkan proses. Dalam penelitian ini, parameter mesin, yaitu pulsa saat ini, tepat waktu, off waktu dan kesenjangan tegangan dioptimalkan dengan pertimbangan dari beberapa karakteristik kinerja seperti Metal Removal Rate (MRR) dan kekasaran permukaan. Sebagai parameter output bertentangan di alam sehingga tidak ada kombinasi tunggal parameter pemotongan, yang menyediakan kinerja mesin terbaik. Algoritma genetika (GA) dengan didefinisikan dengan baik fungsi obyektif kemudian disesuaikan dengan jaringan saraf untuk menentukan beberapa karakteristik kinerja yang optimal.

In this study, Taguchi method coupled with Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) and fuzzy logic has been applied for optimization of multiple performance characteristics. The EDM machining parameters (gap voltage, pulse current, on time and duty factor) are optimized with considerations of multiple performance characteristics, i.e., MRR and SR. The quality characteristic of MRR is larger-is-better, while the quality characteristic of SR is smaller-is-better. Based on Taguchi method, an L 18 mixedorthogonal array is selected for the experiments. By using the combination of GRA and fuzzy logic, the optimization of complicated multiple performance characteristics was transformed into the optimization of a single response performance index. The most significant machining parameters which affect the multiple performance characteristics were gapvoltage and pulse current. Experimental results have also shown that machining performance characteristics of EDM process can be improved effectively through the combination of Taguchi method, GRA and fuzzy logic.
