A recent study on the 139 outbreaks detected in Indonesia between 2005 and 2009 found that the type of exposure to sources of H5N1 virus for both the index case and their household members impacted the risk of additional cases in the household. This study describes the disease transmission patterns in those outbreak households.

The consequences for the temperature dependence of the kinetic energy, and the correlation energy are discussed for two cases: The BCS scenario and the non-Fermi liquid scenario. A quantitative comparison is made between the BCS-prediction for d-wave pairing in a band with nearest neighbor and next-nearest neighbor hoppping and the experimental specific heat and the optical intraband spectral weight along the plane. We show that the BCS-prediction produces the wrong sign for the kink at T c of the intraband spectral weight, even though the model calculation agrees well with the specific heat.

A key issue for these Grid platforms is middleware scalability and how middleware services can best be mapped to the resource platform structure. Optimizing deployment is a difficult problem with no existing general solutions. In this paper we address a simpler subproblem: how to carry out an adapted deployment on a cluster with hundreds of nodes? Efficient use of clusters alone or as part of the Grid is an important issue. In this paper we present an approach for automatically determining an optimal deployment for hierarchically distributed middleware services on clusters where the goal is to optimize steady-state request throughput. We prove that a complete spanning d-ary tree provides an optimal deployment and we present an algorithm to construct this optimal tree. We use a distributed Problem Solving Environment called DIET to test our approach. We define a performance model for each component of DIET and validate these models in a real-world cluster environment. Additional experiments demonstrate that our approach selects a deployment that performs better than other reasonable deployments.

This paper consider about the implementation of Fuzzy Type 2 in combining with SMC (T2FSMC) to enhance the ability of FSMC to overcome both of those problems. To be more optimally damp the oscillation, the range of fuzzy membership is determined based on the minimum ITAE (integral of time absolute error) value while the rule is constructed based on the product between the sliding surfaces and its derivatives. To enhance robustness performance against disturbances and parameter uncertainties, the range of non crisp membership value (footprint uncertainty) of Fuzzy Type 2 is determined by considering the minimum sum of ITAE values at several conditions with different plant parameter. It is proved from the simulation that the proposed method can solve chattering problem more effectively and also more robust against disturbances and parameter uncertainties than T1FSMC.

We have develop modules for face recognition system, visual tracking and multiple moving obstacles avoidance using stereo camera. Someone that walks will be identified as moving obstacle and we propose a method to avoid the multiple moving obstacles. Kalman filtering for distance estimation using stereo camera used for stability of measurement and removing noise from the input images. To overcome the inaccuracies of vision sensor, Bayesian approach is used for estimate the absense and direction of obstacles. Algorithms for moving obstacles avoidance method proposed and experiment results implemented to a service robot also presented. Our system can overcome the drawbacks of popular obstacle avoidance methods because it provides a complete mechanism for a vision-based service robot so that it can avoid the moving obstacles.Various experiments show that our proposed method very fast, and successfully implemented to service robot called Srikandi III in our laboratory.
