Learning is a process of active behavior, interactive and constructive. The learning process is u... more Learning is a process of active behavior, interactive and constructive. The learning process is used as a social context that needs attention. Social studies learning must be able to become and strengthen the values of local wisdom as a symbol of the character's identity of students. Then there needs to be an analysis of the development pattern of social science learning material materials based on local wisdom to shape student character. This study aims to describe the development of social science teaching materials based on local wisdom. The resulting teaching material products are developed by following Borg & Gall's. Product feasibility is measured through product validity, product practicality, and product effectiveness. The data collection techniques of this research were interviews, questionnaires, observations, tests, and documentation. The research results show that the development of social science learning materials based on local wisdom can help teachers in their efforts to understand students and connect learning material with the potential of the region. The development of social studies learning material based on local wisdom can help students understand their area's potential. This is based on the average pre-test score of 33,70 to 55,80. The average posttest score increased by an average score of 0.35, in the moderate category.

The method used is a descriptive method. 60 respondents were taken randomly as many as 238 households in the East Air Dam village. Data collection uses questionnaires / questionnaires and is assisted by interview techniques. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis (frequency distribution analysis and percentage). The results of the study show: (1) In terms of the indicators used, most of the respondents had never participated in the decision-making process of development programs in the village/village; (2) In terms of the indicators used, most of the respondents had never participated in the implementation of development programs in the villages / villages. Penggunaan strategi pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar seharusnya dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Namun kondisi di lapangan memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan metode konvensional masih digunakan seperti halnya metode ceramah dan tanya jawab kurang mampu untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penggunaan strategi atau metode yang terbaru agar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa tersebut. This research was conducted in two approaches, qualitative and quantitative, using two patterns, namely: The Dominant-Lessdominant-Design and the development research design,by carrying out four stages, namely: 1) Initial studies, 2) Preparation of teaching materials, 3) Development of teaching materials and 4) Implementation. The techniques of collectingdata of this research were interviews, questionnaires, observations, tests and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded: 1) The development of social science learning materials based on local wisdom can help teachers to understand students and connect learning materials with the region potentials, 2) The development of social studies learning materials based on local wisdom can help students to understand the potential of their area. This can be seen in the acquisition of research results, the average of pre-test score is 33.70, the average of post-test score is 55.80, there was an increase average about0.35. It is in the sufficient categorized.
