Modern dream analysis is different from Freud's Dream analysis and they help us to imbue our dreams with new meanings. This article is an attempt to do a dream analysis on William Blake's poem The Chimney Sweeper. With some of the examples of modern dream analysis it tries to provide the reader with an ample idea of how the modern dream analysis is entirely different from traditional dream analysis by Freud.

Colonised people are emerging out of the slavery and inhuman behaviour that the colonisers had towards them; so the writers from these nations can encourage them and affirm them with a good and bright future by promoting unity. The writes can also remind them of their glorious history and the wonderful life they had before the colonisation and thereby help them to remove the inferiority complex infused by the colonisers. This work is an attempt to analyse how a change can be brought about by elucidating the conditions that colonised had to go through based on Ngugi wa Thiong'o The Writer in Changing the Society.

This shows the liveliness in their lifestyle. Here poet is contrasting this carpe-diem style of life with the past colonisers who used to boast about their achievements, talk a lot about their facts (exactly like statics and facts made by them are discussed in the poem A far Cry from Africa). So this kind of conversation to show that they are more superior was opted by the colonisers (Eurocentric's). He came late, our guest of honour Perhaps the cares of state, of nerves, Habits of self-debate, took time to shed One who knows famous faces thought He looked angry and red unlikely To sheath his tongue that The good food would not help We ate amidst silence. It's a general practice that the guest of honour will arrive to the function a little late, to show that he has a busy schedule, to emphasise his importance. The poet is mocking this by
