Thus, it examines the causal relationship between well-being measures (overall well-being, social well-being, health well-being, and material well-being), tourism, terrorism, and inequality by focusing on Pakistan as a case study. We applied several time series techniques and procedures that include the bounds test, autoregressive distributed lag model mechanism, and Granger causality to analyze the relationships between the aforementioned variables. The findings suggest significant positive relationships between tourism and well-being measures. However, terrorism has a significant negative effect on well-being measures. Inequalities in the distributions of income and facilities have substantial negative effects on well-being measures and tourism; besides, it shows a signi...

The random number of the nodes with more residual energy and the distance from the base station are adjusted to a smaller value, which makes it more likely to be the cluster head. However, this method does not consider the effect of the number of cluster heads on the algorithm. Secondly, the optimal number of cluster heads is proposed:-Which can ensure the balance of network load by controlling the number of cluster heads in the optimal range. Finally simulation results show that the improved algorithm can effectively reduce the energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of nodes and the whole network.

In the reported visible spectrophotometric procedure tungstate in Folin-Ciocalteu phenol reagent is reduced in alkaline medium and produces the blue colored chromogen that shows Λmax at 740nm with the calibration range of 2-28μg/ml. The LOD and LOQ values are 1.15 and 3.81μg/ml respectively. The newly developed analytical procedure is used to determine caroverine in raw material of and commercial tablets dosage forms. The spectrophotometric method represented in this study is simple, rapid and extraction free. It may easily be utilized for the determination of caroverine in pharmaceutical laboratories for quality control and stability studies purpose.

Student needs special learning strategies to experience better learning in mathematics. Metacognitive Mathematics tutor is an intelligent tutoring system which supports three metacognitive learning strategies self explanation, self questioning and self monitoring. Metacognition is higher order thinking. Metacognitive strategies are learning strategies which supports student learning. Students can improve their learning through metacognition skills. Total 70 students were involved in evaluation of Metacognitive mathematics tutor, 35 were sixth and 35 were seventh grade students. Pretest and Posttest experimental design was used for evaluation. Students used mathematics practice sheet in pretest then in posttest they had used Metacognitive mathematics tutor. A quiz was conducted to measure learning while Jr. MAI version B was also given to assess metacognitive skills. Results show that students learning have increased and also their metacognition after using the metacognitive mathematics tutor. Statistically significant difference in results between pretest and posttest (Man-Whitney, p<0.05) have been observed.

The method A is based on the oxidation of citalopram by a known excess of bromate-bromide mixture in hydrochloric acid medium, reduction of the residual oxidant by a fixed amount of iron(II) and the formation of iron(III)-thiocyanate-complex which is measured at 480 nm. In the method B, 1,10-phenanthroline is used as a complexing agent and the formation of iron(II)-1,10-phenanthroline, which is measured at 510 nm. The system obeys Beer's law in the concentration range of 1.0-7.0 µg mL-1 of CIT for method A and 0.6-6.2 µg mL-1 of CIT for method B. No interference observed from common pharmaceutical adjuvants. Both methods are equally precise as shown by the relative standard deviation values less than 2%. The apparent molar absorptivities and Sandell's sensitivity for method A and B are found to be 2.10 × 10 4 L mol-1 cm-1 , 0.019 µg cm-2 , 7.30 × 10 4 L mol-1 cm-1 and 5.5 × 10-3 µg cm-2 , respectively. The methods have been successfully applied to the determination of citalopram hydrobromide in pure and dosage forms.

The study was based on (Herzberg's, 1959) two factors, motivator (Advancement, Recognition) and Hygiene (Interpersonal, Policies, Compensation) of job satisfaction. A well-structured questionnaire based on (Castillo & Cano, 2004) job satisfaction index was applied to obtain required data from non-PhD faculty members of universities. 125 non PhD faculty members from various universities at a response rate of 83% participated in the survey. The 81% data was reliable for the analysis. The frequencies and cross tabs were calculated from the data. The majority of the respondents was male, graduate, below 30 years of age, married and had job experience of more than 5 years. The factor analysis was applied to find out the underlying variance among the variables. The analysis has found five new components of the job satisfaction. The results showed that overall job satisfaction among the non-PhD faculty members of universities was very low. The motivator and job satisfaction components have significant impact on the overall job satisfaction of the non-PhD faculty. Considering the results, the management of the universities is recommended to focus on the job motivators (Advancement, Recognition) hygiene (Interpersonal/Administration relationship, Policies, Compensation) of the non-PhD faculty for the improvement of job satisfaction and performance. The researchers and scholars may conduct further studies on the factors identified through factor analysis.
A rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination ... more A rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of ranitidine hydrochloride in pharmaceutical pure and dosage forms. The method depends on the charge-transfer complex formation between ranitidine bases as n-electron donor with chloranil as-acceptor to give a colored complex that absorbs maximally at 550 nm. Beerís law is obeyed in the concentration ranges 2-40µg/mL with molar absorptivity of 2.510 4 L mole-1 cm-1. The proposed method is precise, accurate and specific for the quantitative determination of drug in bulk and dosage forms. The results of analysis of commercial formulations and the recovery study (standard addition method) of ranitidine suggested that there is no interference from any excipients, which are present in pharmaceutical formulations of ranitidine. Statistical comparison of the results was performed with regard to accuracy and precision using studentís ttest and F-ratio at 95% confidence level. There is no significant difference between the reported and proposed methods with regard to accuracy and precision.
