Hyperlipidemia and inflammation play major roles in atherothrombosis and in stroke. This study is conducted to compare the high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels and the lipid profile parameters between stroke patients and control group and demonstrate correlation between markers, neurological deficit, and short-term outcome. Methods: We have studied a total 162 patients according to inclusion criteria. Serum level of hs-CRP and lipid profile estimated and correlated with neurological deficit and short-term outcome. Results: We found stroke patients had significantly higher levels of hs-CRP, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and low level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) than control. Yoga is the ancient technique to increase the concentration power, physical and mental well-being. We have done randomized control study on medical students between study and control group. The study group has practice yoga for 4 weeks whereas the control group hasn't. In the study group there is significantly improvement in cardio-respiratory parameters (p<0.0001).This study showed that regular yoga practice in medical students can decrease their stress and improve cardiac and respiratory function.

Enuresis can be divided into primary and secondary forms. Aim of current study was to find out the prevalence and underlying its risk factors of nocturnal enuresis in age groups 5 to 12 years in the rural areas of the district. Methods: The study was done during the year 2011-12 among 1258 school children residing in rural areas of Ahmadabad district of Gujarat state by the help of health personnel staff with the cooperation of the teaching staff and all the parents of the children. Results: There were 869 males and 389 females. We found the prevalence of nocturnal enuresis in 11.13% of total subjects. This study was done to find out the significance of urinalysis and study the magnitude of abnormal urinalysis in healthy adults with no symptoms of renal disease. In our set up routine urine analysis should be performed in all subjects to identify the presence of unrecognized renal disease which may benefit from simple therapeutic measures. Because of simplicity, routine urine analysis is the best way in early detection of most frequent conditions like proteinuria, haematuria, pyuria and glycosuria. This is useful in selecting asymptomatic patients with renal disease who may benefit from early treatment or who requires long term follow up. The f<-,f spectra of the complexes show low intensity transitions, and positive values of bonding parameters 8(%) and b ~'2, computed from the nephelauxetic ratio, indicated covalency.

Enuresis is a pediatric public health problem and efforts at all levels should be made such as preventive, etiological and curative. The ratio of males to females in this study was 1.86 that is comparable to other data of the same study.

ABSTRACT With this work, for the first time a detailed modeling and performance analysis is prese... more ABSTRACT With this work, for the first time a detailed modeling and performance analysis is presented for a single substrate based 1×4 digital optical switches with a channel profile of proton exchanged Lithium Niobate. Performance of the switches are optimized by theoretical controlled modeling of proton exchanged channel waveguides, electrode placement and with use of low less bends to maintain transition losses at low levels. Proposed structures are evaluated using beam propagation method for a range of driving voltage (10V-22V), with utilization of excellent electro-optic properties of the proton exchanged Lithium Niobate waveguides. The computed results for their performance are in good agreement with previous published data.

The most significant challenge in MEMS testing is having moving silicon parts surrounded by integrated circuitry (IC). Testing integrated circuits, whether analog or digital has its own complexity. However MEMS testing need to be more refined and accurate due to their criticality in applications like automobile airbag trigger, activate skid control, health care, etc. In addition to electrical testing MEMS also requires mechanical testing (Sensitivity) which is an important test parameter to characterize the device and market it with guarantee.
