Unconscious person has no control upon him orherself or environment. Patients who have much chance for recovery from their illness should be monitored forapparently minor disabilities or ICU related opportunistic diseases. It is also applicable for an unconsciousness state. In ICU 24-hours special health care to be provided with trained person. Extended stay in an ICU is one of the majorissues for development of ocular problems. Lac of eye care facilities or negligence or ignorance, prevents earlydetection. The key to the treatment in ICU is understanding of the underlying pathophysiology of general and ocularproblems. Bangladesh Crit Care J March 2023; 11 (1): 31-35

All attending patients diagnosed with Keratoconus were included in this study according to selection criteria. Patients with a corneal thickness of fewer than 400 microns, previous viral infection, cornea scarring, corneal opacification, severe ocular surface disease, history of immune disorders, pregnancy, and breastfeeding were excluded from the study. All selected patients underwent collagen cross-linking with Riboflavin and Ultraviolet A, followed up five days, one and six months following the procedure. Visual acuity, topographic readings (K1, K2, Kapex) and cylindrical values were assessed on every visit. The mean value of visual acuity was compared statistically with the baseline value.: A tot...

Ptosis may be the presenting sign or symptom of a serious neurologic disease. Regardless of the etiology, when ptosis obstructs vision, it is disabling. The appropriate management requires recognition of the underlying cause. we discuss the clinical approaches to the management of ptosis .This review article highlights the various aspects of ptosis evaluation and management.

Infestation of Rhinosporidiosis on the eye and adnexa is termed oculosporidiosis. In such cases, conjunctival mucosa is mostly involved. Our case was a 25 years old male, presented with swelling of the lacrimal sac and deeper periorbital tissue and was presented as a case of orbital mass. Complete surgical excision of the lesion was done and Histopathological examination confirms orbital rhinosporidiosis. Postoperatively dapsone therapy was given for 6 months and the patient responded very well with no recurrence during the 6 months follow-up period.

Among them 20-42% of patients developing corneal epithelial defects. The ocular surface is normally protected by the ability to produce tears, to blink and to close the eyes with rest or sleep. All of these mechanisms can be disrupted in the intensive care population, increasing the risk of developing ocular surface disease. 2 There is a strong correlation between lagophthalmos and the development of corneal erosion, which can then lead to keratitis or corneal ulceration. 3,4
