Therefore, menopause now is a concerning matter to maintain and improve women’s health. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an effective treatment for menopausal symptoms. This study was conducted to determine knowledge, attitude and practice toward menopause HRT among women. Objective of the study was to determine the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice related to menopause and HRT among women.Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in May 2020 to July 2020 in a rural area of Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. 150 women were interviewed using a predesigned, pretested questionnaire.Results: In the present study, 42.6% of menopausal women had knowledge of menopausal symptoms. 31.3%, 38% and 26% knew that menopause increases risk of cardiovascular, osteoporosis and breast cancer respectively. 16.6% think menopausal women should consult a physician, only 42% of ...

It has contributed to curtailing the mortality of children under-5 years in India. Giving awareness to the parents is the first and foremost factor to achieve the goal. Methods and Materials: This study is carried out for a period of 8 months at Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Raichur on the title “Knowledge of Mothers about the Children Immunization Status in Pediatric Inpatient and Outpatient Department” and the sample size was 2000 mothers who have visited department of paediatric with their children. Result: It was observed that only 60% of the mothers were having knowledge about BCG, Hep A, Hep B, DTP and Polio. The study was carried out to assess the effect of l- thyroxine on low density lipoprotein(LDL), h... more The study was carried out to assess the effect of l- thyroxine on low density lipoprotein(LDL), high density cholesterol(HDL) and total cholesterol(TC) in hypothyroid patients. 50 patients who were newly diagnosed with hypothyroidism and on treatment with thyroxine was taken for the study. Patient’s demographic details, family history, symptoms experienced and laboratory investigation of TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone), T3 (Triiodothyroxine), T4(Tetraiodothyronine) levels were collected and this were analysed by descriptive statistics methods. The study reveals that in case of hypothyroidism patients having age group below 45 years an increase in weight and increase in cholesterol level is observed. It is also observed that lower limits of TSH during the course of treatment and improvement in T3 and T4 levels in hypothyroid patients of the same age group. Cost of illness analysis (CIA) is defined as the evaluation and assessment of resource used in treating an illness. It comprises direct cost, indirect cost, intangible cost. A prospective questionnaire based observational study was carried out in Kottathala community of Mylom Gramapanchayat, Kottarakkara to analyse the peoples knowledge on HIV/AIDS, as well as attitudes towards HIV patients and actual sex practices for the control or prevention of HIV.Methods: A total of 150 participants were interviewed by using a predesigned questionnaire and responses were reviewed and analysed by using descriptive statistics namely total numbers and percentage.Results: Out of 150 participants females were more (84%) and most of them were under the age group of 18-30 years. Majority of the participants had higher degree of education (51.33%) as they are still youth.
