Fundamentally, it is based on the humoral theory postulated by Hippocrates, according to him the state of body health and disease are regulated by qualitative and quantitative equilibrium of four humours including blood, phlegm, yellow bile and black bile. Mesua ferrea L. belonging to Calophyllaceae family and is considered the genuine "Nagkeshara' as vernacular name. Mesua ferrea L. is commonly known as Nagkesar and Ceylon ironwood in English and Cobra's Saffron. The phytochemical screening confirms the presence of phenyl coumarins, xanthones, triterpenoids and fats as well as flavonoids as main bioactive constituents. It is possessed anti-oxidant activity, anti-inflammatory activity, analgesics activity, anti-venom activity, antispasmodic activity, hepatoprotective activity, antimicrobial activity, anthelmintic, expectorant and anti-allergic. Traditionally this plant is widely used for curing many ailments in India. This review highlights the general description, phytochemical studies, pharmacological activity as well as traditional uses of Mesua ferrea in current scenario.

Several synthetic agents have been used to cure the disease but they have their adverse side effects, low-hilling potential and toxicity. Present article reviewed three important asian medicinal plants, (Curcuma Domestica valeton or Curcuma longa L., Tinospora cordifolia (Willd.) Miers, and Ocimum sanctum L., Ocimum tanuiflorum L. which traditionally used ancient time as an ASU. medicines in Asian countries for the treatment and prevention of Cancer, Tumor and bacterial, virus infections in Asian and Sothern, North east and Himalayan region of India. These plants contain several anti-cancerous, anti-tumorous and anti-oxidant, immuno-modubulator bioactives constituents, secondary metabolites such as strong alkaloids-Curcuminoids and Curcumin, Phenols, ascorbic acid in Curcuma Domestica valeton or Curcuma longa L., Alkaloids-Berberine, Choline, Titembetarine, Magno florine, Tinosporin, Palmetine, Isocolumbin, Aporphine, Jatrorrhizine ,Tetrahydropalmatine, βsitosterol, β-sitosteryl glycosides etc. present in Tinospora cordifolia (Willd.) Miers and strong alkaloids such as Apigenin and Taxol, Phenolic compound, Ursolic acid, Caffeic acid and Citral, Eugenol, Orintin, Vicenin present in Ocimum sanctum L., Ocimum tanuiflorum L. various as well as several flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins and tannins etc. reported and investigated in these meditional potent plants. This investigated revealed research data's the ethno-botanically and pharmagnosticaly, biological activities of active principles of these plants that will help noval drug discovery of anti-cancer, anti-tumor and immuno-modubulator formulations and development of pharmacopial standards.

Unani medicines have played a significant role in maintaining the good health among the masses around the globe. Unani medicines are accepted as important therapeutic agents for treatment of various kinds of diseases, because of its harmonious nature with the human body. Habb-e-Muqil Jadeed a Unani Compound formulation is frequently prescribed for the treatment of Kabz (Constipation) in Unani system of medicine. In many instances, it has been noticed that due to adulterated raw herbs it is very difficult to find the genuine product in market place. The present communication deals with the proper authentification, identification, determination of physico-chemical constants, chromatographic profile, aflatoxin contamination, pesticide residue and heavy metal analysis of the formulation. The present standardization and HPTLC fingerprinting developing sets the standard for qu...

Their reliance on herbal medicines has led to remarkable growth of tradition system of medicine. The preparation of herbal formulation is usually based on traditional methods in accordance with the procedure described in classical literature which sometimes lacks scientific validation. It is utmost important to scientifically standardize the method of preparation and physicochemical parameters to ensure their authenticity and therapeutic effects. Therefore, a herbal Unani formulation Qurs-e-Isqeel widely known for its action as diuretic and antidote and therapeutically used in poisoning, fracture, ascites and dysuria. The drug was studied through various standardization parameters such as organoleptic evaluation (colour, Odor and taste), physico-chemical evaluations (moisture content, total ash, acid insoluble ash, pH values, water and ethanol soluble extractive, volatile oil) and microscopy. The evaluations of WHO parameters such as heavy metals, aflatoxins, pesticide residue and microbial contamination were also carried out to ascertain the quality of drug. The data revealed the present work will help in developing pharmacopoeial standards for maintaining the quality and batch to batch consistency of Qurse-Isqeel.

(0.9006),Test for presence of Arachis oil, Cotton seed oil and Mineral oil both are found negatives and various bioactive phytochemical screening examined were assessed in REMED. HPTLC. studies of alcohol extracts of different Batches B1.B2 and B3 of REMED. Classical formulation showed various spots at 366nm (UV. region), under exposed to Vinyl - Sulfuric acid reagent. derivatized obtained with equate, best separation using selected suitable solvent system of mobile phase. The quality control studies results revealed the absence of hazardous and toxic contamination from the drug samples. Moreover the obtained research studies data and comparative screening will provide the referential supportive information in the development of pharmacopeial standard monographs, identification of classical formulation, reinvestigation, quality assurance and pharmacovigilance and validation of the Quality standard of REMED classical drug providing the quality medicine to needful public mass of the World.
