Mango malformation, caused by Fusarium mangiferae, represents the most important floral disease o... more Mango malformation, caused by Fusarium mangiferae, represents the most important floral disease of mango. The first symptoms of this disease were noticed in the beginning of 2005 in plantations at Sohar in the Eastern U.P. of India. The affected inflorescences were abnormally enlarged and branched with heavy and dried-out panicles. Based on morphology and DNA-sequence data fir the genes encoding translation elongation factor 1 α and β-tubulin, the pathogen associated with these symptoms was identified as F. mangiferae.

As the name suggests detection is done using Radar Bullets and hence can be done further away from the mine carefully. Bullets fire from helicopter emits radar pulses as it grinds to the halt these radar pulses reflects from landed mines due to that reflection landmines can be estimated approximately. This is the method in which special type of radar bullet are use to find landmines without setting foot into the ground offering safe and efficient way of landmine detection.There are some methods for detection of land mines, such Metal detector method, Biological method and mechanical method. The digital watermarking process embeds a signal into the media without significantly degrading its visual quality. In this paper there is a comparison of three methods i.e. DCT, DWT & LSB based algorithm for watermarking in digital images.

By taking advantage of silicon photonics, new products can scale bandwidth availability to meet the future demand.

A good impedance matching condition between the line and patch without any additional matching elements depends on feeding techniques used and substrate used. After analysis various feeding techniques for different substrate, this paper gives a better understanding of the design parameters of an antenna and their effect on Impedance, VSWR, bandwidth and gain. Finally, simulation is done using design software HFSS.

In the ceramic tile industry bulk amount of ceramic tiles are manufactured, it is very difficult ... more In the ceramic tile industry bulk amount of ceramic tiles are manufactured, it is very difficult to monitor the quality of each and every tiles manually. Lot of human resources are required for the defect detection of the tiles. Also it is quite tedious and time consuming method. Considering this criteria, an automated defect detection and classification technique has been proposed in this report that can have ensured the better quality of tiles in manufacturing process as well as production rate. Our proposed method plays an important role in ceramic tiles industries to detect the defects and to control the quality of ceramic tiles. This automated classification method helps us to monitor the defects within a very short period of time and also to decide about the recovery process so that the defected tiles may not be mixed with the good quality tiles.

Robotic swarms represent the application target of the studies presented in this book and therefo... more Robotic swarms represent the application target of the studies presented in this book and therefore required the reader to be acquainted with the main concepts behind this branch of robotics. The introduction of swarm robotics principles is done only after presenting multi-robot systems, in comparison with single robot systems. Among the concepts that are defined in this chapter we mention: swarm robotic system, stigmergy and neighborhoods. After this theoretical introduction, the chapter continues with a presentation of robotic platforms that can be used to validate swarm algorithms. Among the robots listed are the Kilobot, the e-puck and the Khepera. As swarm robotics generally requires a large number of individuals, the costs of running experiments on real robots can become high. For this reason, robot simulation platforms are also discussed at the end of this chapter.
