The proposed project revolves around the development of a real-time object detection and distance... more The proposed project revolves around the development of a real-time object detection and distance estimation system leveraging key technologies like the Nvidia Jetson TX2, Robot Operating System (ROS), YOLO AI Object Detector, and ZED Stereo Camera. With the Nvidia Jetson TX2 serving as a high-performance computing device, and the ZED Stereo Camera providing depth information, the system can efficiently detect objects and estimate their distances. The Robot Operating System (ROS) acts as a foundational framework, facilitating communication between software and hardware components. The project is divided into two main aspects: the theoretical side, where students will learn about the specifications, architectures, and capabilities of the involved technologies, and the practical side, which involves hands-on implementation and integration of these technologies. This holistic approach ensures students gain a deep understanding and valuable skills in the field of robotics and real-time object detection.
