Study Design: Quasi-experimental study. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Combined Military Hospital, Multan Pakistan, from Jun 2020 to Dec 2021. Methodology: After Ethical Approval and informed consent, the umbilical artery pulsatility (UAPI) of the patients was measured by a transabdominal scan(TAS) between 75 and 100 days. Raised UAPI was correlated with early onset preeclampsia. Results: One hundred and sixty pregnant women were included in the study, out of which 34(21.3%) women developed preeclampsia, and 126(78.8%) were normal patients. Maternal weight (p=0.001), maternal BMI (p=0.002), gestational age and weight at delivery (p=0.001), and uterine artery doppler pulsatility index (p=0.001) had statistically significant differences with pre-eclamps...

One such attempt at finding effective renewable energy is recycling of lithium-ion batteries and using the recycled material as an electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) step in water splitting reactions. In electrocatalysis, the OER plays a crucial role and several electrocatalysts have been investigated to improve the efficiency of O2 gas evolution. Present research involves the use of citric acid coupled with lemon peel extracts for efficient recovery of lithium cobaltate from waste lithium-ion batteries and subsequent use of the recovered cathode material for OER in water splitting. Optimum recovery was achieved at 90 °C within 3 h of treatment with 1.5 M citric acid and 1.5% extract volume. The consequent electrode materials were calcined at 600, 700 and 800 °C and compared to the untreated waste material calcined at 600 °C for OER ac...

The disruption in the sphingomyelin signaling pathway is associated with various neurodegenerative disorders. TNF-α, a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine generated in response to various neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), and Multiple Sclerosis (MS), is an eminent regulator of the sphingomyelin metabolic pathway. The immune-triggered regulation of the sphingomyelin metabolic pathway via TNF-α constitutes the sphingomyelin signaling pathway. In this pathway, sphingomyelin and its downstream sphingolipids activate various signaling cascades like PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK pathways, thus, controlling diverse processes coupled with neuronal viability, survival, and death. The holistic analysis of the immune-triggered sphingomyelin signaling pathway is imperative to make necessary predictions about its pivotal components and for the formulation of disease-related therapeutics. Due to multi-factorial pathology of diabetic foot ulceration the person with diabetes should receive health education which is tailored to the individual's risk status, promote self-care and address misconception. Diabetic patients are at high risk of developing complications. One of major complication is foot ulcer which may lead to amputation. This can be prevented up to some extent by accurate interpretation of medical information regarding ulcer causes and risk factors. So we are conducting this research to access the “Knowledge and Practices Regarding Foot Care in Diabetic Patient” and will make some recommendations to prevent foot ulcer. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out over a period of 3 months from 1st April to 30th of June 2014 at OPD & Indoor of various public sector hospitals of Lahore” (Services hospital, Mayo hospital, L...

The term was introduced in 1997 by American physician Steven Bratman, M.D. He suggested that some people's dietary restrictions intended to promote health may paradoxically lead to unhealthy consequences, such as social isolation, anxiety, loss of ability to eat in a natural, intuitive manner, reduced interest in the full range of other healthy human activities, and, in rare cases, severe malnutrition or even death.

To identify the possible barriers to effective screening in those who do not undergo cervical screening. Patients and Methods: Total 157 female gynecologists, serving in various positions in tertiary care hospitals of Lahore were interviewed by using a structured self reporting performa. The performa was designed to find out the number of gynecologists undergoing pap screening, and in those who fail to undergo screening the single most important barrier presumed to be preventing them from undergoing screening was also evaluated. Results: In this study, only 3.1% of the subject population was found to be undergoing pap-screening, which reflects the national level of screening in urban areas, in sharp contrast to the studies being conducted in developed countries, with screening coverage rates of more than 80%. Conclusion: ...

Estimation and detection different human body Portion from different scenes of videos and images ... more Estimation and detection different human body Portion from different scenes of videos and images is an important step for most model based systems. Human body-portion detection from a single still image estimate the layout of human body portion, the position of body portion (head, torso, arms, and legs), size and orientation within the scene to recognize the action. For the foreground segmentation technique; we have used salient-object detection via Structured Matrix Decomposition (SMD) and skin-tone detection. After extraction of silhouette; body-portion estimation is applied by using Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). Five basic parts are determined by using classical expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. The minimum number of twelve ellipsoids represented on the image with the centroid of each ellipse. The estimated distance between the centroids of ellipses are compared. The experimental results over dataset as PAMI09_release has accuracies of 86.2%, respectively. Our proposed pose descriptors outperform other state-of-the-art body portion detection model.

Event planning is an important process towards the successful execution of an event as clients struggle to get suitable event managers and service providers for their events. Classification of events is a wide subject at which managerial expertise differs for different event types. Thus, understanding the event type is crucial for efficient collection of client's requirements aiming for client's satisfaction. This research is aimed at developing a mobile application “Emotive Events”, acting as an event planner that maintains time and budget for a private event including funeral considering multiple religions and birth parties and addresses many features such as checklists creation, guest list, religion-based services, online payments, a collaboration of service providers/services that most existing applications typically lack all in one place. The theoretical framework is based on a systematic literature review (SLR) and web content analysis (CA) techniques. For the mobile application development, an Agile system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology was employed at which two questionnaires were conducted, one for collecting user and application requirements, while the other for the mobile application's evaluation. The research outcomes recognized the shortcomings of the currently used event planning applications, informed the requirements of the “Emotive event” mobile application which revealed 86.23% of acceptance in terms of application's usability.
